Bought a TV for son for Christmas. To find out on Christmas morning that it has a badly broken screen. Then to go back to the Argos that it was bought in.To have the manager tell us that we broke it.Then to phone Argos and told that someone would phone back within 24 hours then to phone again the next day to be told another 24 hours then one hole week later to phone a different number to be put through to someone who said she was a high as we could go.That she had phoned the shop were we bought it from and she had said the manager said we broke it.Never have I ever had such a bad experience with a shop in all my life.will never again shop in Argos they will never get my or my familys money again. And I will be telling as many people about this as I can .

Brought an item & choose my collection point, only to find out the location’s under renovation & my parcel sent to a random store . Contacted CS & showed up to a store & is unable to locate my item. Your CS in-store & on phone is unhelpful & complaint ignored.

Such a bad experience! Basically they break my fridge when they bring it and they didn’t take it back because I had to call for return and they didn’t suggest for a discount if I wanna keep it . I had to keep it for 3 days . And after that waiting for refund to be in 7 days and still nothing and now another 7 days of waiting. So basically will be almost a month to get my money back and is not a few hundred is 1.600£

I have been looking to buy a Ninja air fryer since October but all the Argos in London have out of stock, I have checked all over London, keep checking with all the Argos locations but unfortunately I couldn't find anywhere in London. But when I look in to the reviews for the specific product, I got shocked because day by day most of the people have bought each day 10 to 15 people have bought the item and left so many 5 star reviews, how is this possible that there is no product available in all over London but leaving good reviews that they bought now, today, yesterday, Clearly can be seen it's fake reviews for out of stocks products.

Last May 2022 I bought a 32" LG TV. The TV itself is excellent even though its taken me till now to get used to the complicated setup that proved to be very difficult to navigate around. No manual came with it so I was dependent upon its built in menu system. (also complicate). My main gripe has been with the supplied remote control. Previously I was using an older standard 32" LG TV which I have had for around 10 years and the small remote that came with the new TV was exactly the same size with extra buttons. Far too small for what's needed with a smart TV. I found it hard to use, especially in a darkened room. and far to easy to mistakenly press the wrong buttons I learned that what I needed was a magic remote which wasn't available either from Argos or LG I have since found out that other and earlier LG remotes came much larger in size with a much better layout I was surprised that Argos and LG were so unhelpful at addressing this problem. I now have to pay out more money to order the remote that I need. Photo is of both types of remotes together to show the difference

Bought steamer sun loungers, 1st day it snapped in two. When ordering it stated suitable for delivery however on check out I had to pick them up. this was miles away as they only had limited stock. Now contacted them through chat to someone who didn't speak English and then I had to call them and was promised an email with £20 refund. Not seen that yet either. Trouble is I needed them for the one sunny weekend that we get so had to sort it with wood glue and screws so probably now can't return. Poor quality for price and terrible customer services. Neither contacts were in anyway interested and indeed were preoccupied at time of contact.

Just had a patio set delivered from Argos Web site says small items delivered to doorstep larger to your selected location. Guy arrived, unloaded to boundary and took a photo. I was waiting at open garage (4m away), he turned round and walked away. When queried he said " I've delivered it to your property" Appalling service. Glass table top moved for safety prior to taking photo.

This shop was used to good quality and if the product broke or was low quality you could return it with no issue. Now the quality of their products is very low. Children bike (purchased in December 2021 for christmas gift) is literally falling appart, all pieces are wobbly, steering wheel is unstable, little pieces falling off and Argos wont accept return. Their supplier shifts blames on customer (they say the boke is well worn...3 weeks after purchase... what 2,5 year old can wear off bike after 3 weeks???). It wasn't cheap either, over 100 pounds. Very poor quality service, awful product quality, AVOID, AVOID, AVOID!!

You need a good clear out with rude and bad mannered staff who lack excellent communication and listening skills, does Argos employ inexperienced staff members that only know how to say no, they have no experience in dealing with customers who need to return an item that is faulty, have no general knowledge of there own terms and conditions and like to make stuff up in there little peanut brains, if a customer wants to return a faulty item they have the right to do so, can’t say just because the box has been opened you can’t return it, the disturbed staff member who looks miserable and lacks confidence didn’t know what to say after coming up with ridiculous statements, his breath was really bad behind the mask, smelled of saliva mixed with faeces, the staff member was talking rubbish so it explains why his filthy mouth was smelling, people like him that makes Argos a nightmare , either Argos steps up and trains it’s staff properly or shut down your stores, no good hiding in Sainsbury’s now or is this ur last move before you actually shut down your stores , if you can’t sort ur staff out then I hope omicron puts you out of business !!!

Awful customer service yet again. I used to really rate argos but they have massively gone down hill. I have tried to place an order online today using the 20% toy discount which is advertised on all the products I have selected. When I have got to the checkout it has only taken the discount off one of the items. When I have questioned this with the online chat they have admitted they have made a mistake on the website and have wrongly advertised some items but are refusing honour the pricing on the website. I wonder how many people have purchased items using the code and not realised that argos have been false advertising.

Order number 1563500421 Be careful ordering Jewelry Bought a Necklace (as a Christmas gift for my daughter) which was pictured in a posh Jewelry case. In the description, it said comes with a Jewelry case. It came in a cheap tacky bag. I started a chatbox, and the agent told me that was only subject to availability - (which was not in the description). I was told it would have to be returned to a store that is miles away, and I have now got to make time for + pay for train fares. There was no option of courier vouchers like some other online places do Just awful. We have 2 other necklaces coming, and now fear they won't be in boxes either. Isn't this misleading advertising, as the description should say (subject to availability) ? Even then, I could be misled. The photos of advertised product and received product are below

I ordered a new six wheel deluxe folding shopping trolley from Argos I had been trying to get one for nearly two months, but when it arrived one of the Axel's was missing, and I contacted customer service they were not very helpful, and even though I mentioned that no one can drive in our house for medical reasons and we have no support nearby to help us they insisted if I wanted a replacement I would have to do click and collect, I said that I could not do this, so they said that a manager would call me back but nothing yet

I ordered a sofa bed off Argos online and when it was delivered it was damaged, after spending almost an hour on chat I managed to get them to arrange a collection and deliver new one. When the 2nd sofa arrived it was also damaged so I had to spend another 45 minutes on chat to arrange a third delivery and a second collection, I was told by the person on chat after the 3rd sofa had been delivered if it was all ok to contact them again and they would arrange compensation for the two damaged sofas and all the hassle to keep getting new ones delivered. When speaking to them I was absolutely horrified when they told me all they were prepared to offer was a £15 gift card. After the hassle of having to keep getting in touch with them and spend hours on chat arranging to have the damaged sofa collected and another new one delivered three times over I think that's absolutely disgusting. A £15 gift card was more like an insult. I will not order anything like that from Argos in the future.

Purchased a Macgregor 32cm 1400w mower on 28/5/21 on 25/7/21 while mowing the lawn noticed grass coming out of the side of the casing on inspection I found the casing (very flimsy) had split over about 300cm so contacted returns at macgregor and got a glib woman who said she would give me a return number to present at the store BUT said I would be wasting my time as it would be regarded as wear and tear not wishing to have a row at my local store I made a temporary fix with gaffer tape to finish this season and will be purchasing a new mower in the new year but it will not be a macregor and definitely not be from ARGOS this is the second issue I have had with ARGOS this year after years of shopping with what used to be a trustworthy brand it is sadly no more so will be looking elsewhere in future !

TLDR : Argos will only refund in Argos vouchers if payment is made with a Flexicash card - against the refund policy on their own website, and more importantly the Consumer rights act 2015 sec 20. This is a warning to anyone wanting to pay with anything but cash at Argos. Ordered a watch as a gift online, for store pickup. Paid with £20 Nectar points, and £149.99 on a flexicash card. My son said the face was too large for his wrist, so we took the watch back to the same store it was picked up at (Oldham Elk Mill). This is only 48 hours after pickup. The staff member behind the jewelry counter inspected the watch, said it was all ok to be returned, and asked to see our receipt - at which point he said he could only refund us in Argos vouchers. As we hardly ever use Argos anymore I asked to speak to a manager, wanting our refund to be in the same format that we used for payment. The first manager (or supervisor - not sure which) just repeated what we were already told, and then called the store manager (Helen) over after I again politely refused. The store manager didn't listen to what I was saying, and stated that we could either take the watch or the Argos vouchers and started to walk away... After being ignored I had few options left and so I got the attention of other shoppers in the store and started to explain what was happening only then did Helen return, this time listening to my stance that I required the refund to be in the same format as I had paid. According to Helen (manager) it was company policy AND Flexicash policy, to refund with vouchers ONLY, when a Flexicard was used for payment (which was at no point made clear to us before payment was made), and that the cards website would say the same thing. (None of this is true) Eventually we were given some stapled together Love2shop vouchers to the value of the Flexicash payment, and an Argos voucher for the Nectar points. I suffer from severe Anxiety and at this point just wanted to get out of the store. At least love2shop can be used elsewhere than Argos. Far from what we wanted but better than giving our money to Argos. As we were leaving Helen said it was a shame that it wasn't a smaller purchase or she could have given us cash as a refund!!!! (we should have bought 20 small items and refunded them all if this is the case! - again we just wanted to leave so carried on walking). - we left the store still unhappy, and will not be looking at Argos for any major purchases for the foreseeable future. During our hour and a half trying to get a refund, the staff member behind the counter told us that there are always problems with Flexicash - that this happens all the time when people want refunds. *The Flexicash website states that Argos refunds are to in line with Argos' policy nothing is mentioned here about refund for store vouchers (Helen was adamant this was the case). ** Argos' own website states that 'Refunds will be processed by the original payment method'. Again nothing is mentioned about Flexicash being refunded with store vouchers. ***The Consumer Rights act 2015 section 20, subsections 9,10,11,12 state that a consumer should receive a refund in the same format that payment is made. This supercedes any company policy. I have screenshots of Flexicash website, Argos website, and the consumer rights act to show the above is true. I welcome any input from Argos with regards to the above.

My husband ordered an Aspley free standing double bed which was slightly damaged upon delivery. Some tools were missing which you were supposed to get to build the bed. Glue all over the lats which were taped together. Sent a review to Argos who have come back with " because this review does not comply with our standards we are not publishing it". Pretty disgusting customer service.

Fuming I had to even give 1 star! I ordered a sofa and when it arrived it looked nothing like the sofa we ordered on the website so much so we thought they has sent the wrong sofa. We phoned and asked them to collect it and send the correct sofa. When the second one arrived it was the same! They said it was the correct one that we ordered despite being a different colour, shape and size! To top off the ordeal because I had bought an evoucher through a scheme at work which entitled me to 6% discount they will now only give me an evoucher back so I am stuck with a voucher for a company I never want to use again and can't trust to use the voucher to buy another sofa when the ones they send out look absolutely nothing like the ones advertised on the website! Furious and disgusted with the appalling service from a major company!

Hi. Is my first time and my last time when I use Argos delivery and I’m so disappointed. I ordered a clipper yesterday and they send me a text saying the clipper will be here between 7pm - 11pm. Nothing happen, I ring the delivery man and he said he’s working on different area, nothing helpfully. I ring Argos next day to see what happen and they said, you’ll have the clipper tonight between 7pm to 11pm. And I have to cancel the order for delivery and get it for collect, because I don’t trust them. So disappointed 😞

They make it extremely difficult to do a returns. Can only make a return to select stores during lockdown (Argos concession stores inside Sainsbury’s but not Argos collection points inside a Sainsbury’s and no direct Argos stores either). This is not made clear on the website and customer service is awful and untrained in this. Called CS just before heading out to make sure I can return at the nearest store, was told yes and called the Sainsbury’s ahead of time to confirm and they said no. Called again and they recommended a different Argos/Sainsbury’s collection point 30mins walk away. Got there and can’t do the return as it’s not a concession store. Another lady there has the same problem as me. Ended up having to walk all the way back home and then 30mins in the opposite direction to get to a correct store for refunds as customer service desk have no clue 😂🤣😂 never buy anything from Argos again, sticking to Amazon prime.

Where is my washing machine Argos? I have ordered a washing machine on 10th November and haven't received the items yet. The Argos website still shows that the items is due for delivery on 26th November which is 3 weeks ago. Made several calls and chats with Argos customer support team who claims that it is their delivery handling team's issue and Argos cannot help.
