AVOID ARGOS if there is any likelihood of you needing to return an item if FAULTY. The Lancaster store insists they only offer credit notes to be used in Argos for faulty returns. This I refuse as I will never shop in Argos again. I am sure Argos is operating outside the law as it is contrary to the Consumer Rights Act 2015 which states "Goods should be of a satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described" My purchase was clearly faulty and confirmed by Flymo and their Service center. On the phone, Argos says You can return for a refund to the method you made the purchase, but in-store they deny it and offer a credit note. Over a week ago I returned the item, have made at lease 7 phone calls, and written by Royal Mail Signed For service. NO RESPONSE. NO REFUND. So ignore the Refund question below NO FLYMO It's a nightmare dealing with Argos. I wish I'd looked at the Trustpilot reviews and see they have 85% as BAD, only one ⭐ Not even worth one! GO elsewhere and forget the convenience of being in Sainsbury's

Never have stock of anything you want, regardless of alternate store search or even if you opt for home delivery😤

Refunds process is beyond a joke. And the customer service agents they employ must be trained in incompetence.

The worst customer service I have ever received. We had a sofa delivered yesterday with 2 leg holes filled it so we were unable to put it together and use it. We kindly asked Argos to send a replacement. We were told it would be solved within 24hours passed, 24hours later we have been told it will take 48hours to be resolved. We are critical workers and will not be able to receive another delivery during a national pandemic. So who only knows when we will ever receive a sofa, even though it says online I could have one delivered tomorrow. We have not received one apology, been given incorrect information 3 times by 3 different team members. We have not been given compensation unless we write a letter to head office and have received the worst customer service I have ever experienced, I’d love to know what they can actually solve for their customers. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM. I won’t be.

I bought a chair from Argos. The chair brand was also Argos brand. On 15/01 I contacted Argos customer service team for the first time. The chair I bought and was still on warranty presented a defect: the left side was lower than the right. This defected caused me strong back and neck pain. After speaking to the 1st agent, she told me she'd cancel this order and because my chair wasn't available in the store, I could pick up another one. I made a selection of a few chairs as the problem was urgent - I am working from home - and spoke to the 2nd agent in the customer service team, who told me the chairs I had selected weren't available neither. I then called on 16/01 and spoke to the 3rd agent, for whom I explained again about my back and neck pain and the product defect. The option he gave was a refund, which I accepted. On 18/01, I called their team again and spoke with the 4th agent, who booked me a collection for the 19th. However, I noticed they didn't have my current address, so I called again on 19th morning and spoke to the 5th agent, who updated my address and booked a new collection for today, 20th January. I waited all day for the collection that never happened. I then called the customer service again and spoke to the 6th agent, who told me that this collection had been cancelled for some unknown reason - I wasn't notified. I explained for the 6th time the reason why I wanted a refund and she told me that actually, I had to speak to the safety team to see if I could receive a refund. Because I had spoken to five agents and explained the situation to each one of them and all of them said that I would receive a refund, I bought a chair from another supplier as I've got back pain and needed a new chair asap. I spoke to five agents who confirmed my refund and collection. Based on this information; I bought a new chair. Five agents didn't tell me I'd have to talk to the safety team! The safety team should have contacted me in 48 hours, which didn't happen! Now my refund is not confirmed, the collection hasn't been booked and I don't have any guarantees I'll receive my money back, which is absurd as the chair gave me health issues. I DON'T recommend Argos at all. The situation is ongoing for a week now. I have sent emails to the complaints team, contacted again at last 4 more times the customer service team and nothing! Horrible, horrible, horrible.

I would never ever shop from Argos because they thieves and doggy in all different ways. It’s disgusting for big company like Argos not delivering my item but instead took my money. I ordered my first laptop for my daughter but never received it, to claim my money back I have to wait 14 days to do so. Argos told me my item has been delivered but the question is where was my order delivered to And was the delivery man blind for him to take my order to the wrong address stupid and disgusting nasty customer services.

Our Bush TV screen went blank over a week ago now. The TV was only 4 months old, returned to the store only to be told to take it home and set it back up and call customer support, which by the way we're excellent. The technician did a few tests and decided it couldn't be repaired, I had to download some photos and send to prove basically it wasn't damaged, at this point I thought I'd be able to take the TV into store and swap it for a replacement TV, but no we are now waiting for a third party to collect our broken TV and deliver a new one. Why have Argos gone down this route, ok it's not the end of the world, but come on, leaving a family with no TV over Christmas through no fault of their own is not in my opinion very good customer service. Extremely disappointed. We work for the NHS and have not had any leave since March, with the first Christmas off in 5 years! Thanks Argos. 😣

Ordered a shelving unit over 3 weeks ago. Still no delivery info and impossible to get through to customer service in any way, but I shape or form. I appreciate they are experiencing high demand but other companies are coping really well with handling enquiries and orders. Argos need to catch up.

DO NOT ORDER ANYTHING ONLINE FOR DELIVERY FROM ARGOS - IT WILL NOT ARRIVE BUT THEY WILL TAKE YOUR MONEY!!!!!!!! Unable to get through to them via phone or live chat to ask for a refund. No update sent by email to advise of any problems. I understand this is a difficult time but why accept orders and payments if cannot fulfil them. ARGOS IS A SHAMBLES

Ordered an iPhone £629... payment taken but didn’t get an order number as the website is useless. Colleague in the store said he had the same issue a few days ago. Just order again and you’ll get a refund for the first amount. Reordered as he suggested, same happened now over £1200 in Argos’s back pocket. No phone, can’t speak to anyone, can’t do anything in the stores. Shouldn’t be in business

I ordered a printer on the 23rd September to be delivered on the morning of the 24th. then, the order was rescheduled for delivery to be delivered on the evening of the 24th. The delivery was then rescheduled for the morning of the 25th. Mid afternoon on the 25th, i phoned Argos to find out where my printer was. Argos then told me that it should be with me soon, and as i was on the phone, they had a notification through saying that it had been delivered. I live in student accommodation, and the item had not been delivered. The accommodation staff are very efficient with parcels, and there was absolutely no record of it. I then phoned Argos again, where i was told they were extremely sorry, and that another printer would be with me in the next couple of days. This afternoon, i received a text message telling me that the printer i ordered is now out of stock, and they would not be able to deliver my item. This is really not good enough. i was supposed to have a printer with me two days ago now. Instead, i have to wait 5 days for my refund just to go and buy another printer. They should not be selling printers that are out of stock, and i highly doubt that a printer was ever delivered in the first place. I would urge any student to look elsewhere when buying, because this very unreliable service is not acceptable.

ARGOS – CARE Re. FURNITURE DELIVERY If you are elderly, infirm, disabled or just on your own – BEWARE - if you order furniture for delivery from Argos it could end up on your drive if the Argos delivery men decide they are don’t want to take it into your house! We ordered a single bed and paid for it to be delivered. An Argos van arrived; two men got the bed out one carrying the base, the other the mattress. The one carrying the mattress proceeded to walk across a wet lawn despite there being plenty of room to come up the drive, he put the mattress down in the porch looked at the carpet in the hall and called out to his mate that it was “white”. He then proceeded to push the mattress from the porch halfway into the hall and the second man then put the base down half in the porch and half on the drive. I asked if they were just going to leave it there at which the second man said they weren’t going to walk on our carpet because they may have dirt on their shoes, then leaned into the house from the porch and said they wouldn’t take it upstairs anyhow as the stairs had a turn in them. I was surprised by this response as we had had a king sized and a double bed delivered by Argos during the last 18 months and on both occasions the men had delivered the beds right into the bedrooms with no fuss – same carpet same turn in the stairs. If Argos provides a delivery service for beds/furniture etc. which entails entering a house then why do they not provide drivers with overshoes/shoe protectors like most other people who have to deliver into your home? Most stairs have a bend somewhere either at the bottom or the top or indeed like ours at a half landing in the middle - it has never been a problem for other furniture delivery companies and indeed was not a problem for the previous Argos men when they delivered two much larger beds. When I finally got through to the “Directors Team” to complain I was told that delivery into the house is totally at the discretion of the delivery men if they decide the carpet is too light or the stairs have a bend in them then they can refuse to bring the furniture into the house. I asked what would happen if when the delivery men arrived they found the householder was disabled and I was told the position was exactly the same if the delivery men decided that they did not want to bring the item into the house then they could refuse and presumably the item would stay on the drive! I realise that somewhere buried in all the small print of the terms and conditions there will be a clause allowing Argos to do this but come on if Argos are going to sell furniture and offer a delivery service then they should deliver into the house, other furniture stores do. So if you are disabled, elderly or just on your own and you don’t want your new three piece suite or bed left on your drive then the message is simple DON’T BUY IT FROM Argos!

Really horrible customer service. The item delivered was faulty and you have to jump through 1000s of hurdles to return it. According to the website, you can return the item in the store. After carrying the heavy printer over there I was told that the collection needs to be organised by calling customer service and the sales assistants in the store can not call for me. When I called to the customer service the lady on the phone shouted at me and told me off for not speaking to Canon first. So now I need to be on hold to Canon to then call back customer service and finally organise an item collection. How I wish I ordered through Amazon instead!!

Ordered a washing machine for my parents. Paid for the recycling of old item and installation. Parents were unable to disconnect the old machine and had never done this before but pulled it out and had area clear for the delivery. Delivery driver arrived and said they wouldn't disconnect and left within 2 minutes. Parents very distressed. A nice lady on phone was able to give me a full refund but what a time and waste of effort for everyone especially my parents who had to wait another week for a washing machine from a different company. When paying online and selecting the installation option it should clearly state that they will NOT uninstall your old machine. I only found this out in the small print after!
