In all the years I have been shopping with Cotton Traders I have only needed to contact Customer Service twice and both times the service was excellent. No hassle,no problems just good, quick, fair service. Many thanks.

Charged £6. 95 for the pleasure of delivering and returning an item that didn’t fit. 7p a minute to call customer service to complain. Absolutely ripoff . Never again, avoid at all cost !!!!!! Much better companies out there that want customers to return but certainly not cotton traders!!!!

The worst retail experience ever! Ordered several tee shirts for my husbands birthday back in early July. He usually has M&S but I thought I'd try Cotton Traders as I had been told they were pretty good. What a mistake! Lost parcels, promises of replacements to be sent that never appeared and endless, endless phone calls. in the end i tried their complaints department and even they take 3 days to reply to each response! In the end I even asked for some form of compensation in recognition of all the time and money I have spent trying to chase them, then, after 7 weeks I came home to an answer phone message politely informing me that they could no longer supply large black tee shirts for men... (good luck if you are awaiting anything more complicated than that!) and will need to credit my account. That's it, not even a £10 voucher as a good will gesture... I worked in retail for over twenty years and never experienced so many empty promises. The gentleman on the answer phone ended the message by asking that if the first order SHOULD ever find its way to me, that he would be grateful if I would I be kind enough to let them know so that they might debit my account on delivery! Honestly, and they call this service... Good or bad, I've never felt the need to post a review before, but in this case I thought I'd make the exception and having done so I'm now off to Marks and Spencer's!

Placed an order online on April 30 and received emails for order confirmation and then stating that the order was on its way. On May 27 I received an email stating 'sorry, sometimes things just don't quite work out' with no other explanation and stating that I would receive a refund. However, my card was charged $70.45 for the purchase but the refund given was $60.50. Did they charge for the emails???

I ordered men's work pants before the covid shutdown. They were sized like womens with a very short zipper, unable to be worn by men. I returned them on March 16th. I have a receipt that confirms they rec'd the pants and a refund would be sent soon. I am owed $58.50 and have not seen $1. I will never be ordering from this company again and I warn you not to.

Ordered on 2 different occasions online., on both would not take payment details so had to ring. Then got a bill for £10 on my phone tariff for making 2 orders by phone - a rip off.

Editions of your catalogues often contain misleading product information. For example, in your June catalogoue on page 43 you advertise sandals as being made of real leather - but the small print confirms that they are not. The design of three pairs of trousers I recently ordered are now high-waisted - an important factor that was not referred to in the product details. I have been a customer of Cotton Trafers for over ten years but probably won't continue if standards continue to fall.

Let me first set up a reference point for this review. The date of this review is 05/29/20. What seems like ages ago I placed my 1st order for men's clothing from Cotton Traders. I was not sure about their specific sizing, knowing that sizing can vary quite a lot from manufacturer to manufacturer. Some of their men's slacks had interesting designs so I thought I would take a chance. I ordered the same size that I had ordered for years from other companies. Well, it took almost 20 days for my order to arrive and when it did the slacks were woefully small. It was all I could do to get them over my thighs. I decided to return the lot so I shipped them back on 05/02/20. On this date, 05/29/20, I phoned customer service to ask why I had not been issued a refund for the returned order. I was told to check back in about 5 days because the Covid-19 had slowed the mail considerably. Now, I recognize that many businesses have been affected by the virus but I do a huge amount of shopping online and none have come close to taking this long. While that package was in transit I made another order for the same slacks two (2) sizes larger. Those arrived in about 20 days also. They were snug but wearable. In summation, be forewarned. If you should have any doubts about sizing or quality or if you need an item in a specific season, I would advise you to order at least one season ahead.

Poor delivery. It has been over six weeks and no shipment. When you call customer service, you wait for twenty minutes. Customer service cannot tell me the status of my order. I would not do business with them again.

Bought a skirt for my wife's birthday and found it is 1 size too big. There was a number to call for exchange which they claimed it is free. Was on the call on wait/ queue for 10 minutes just to find I was charged £10, so I hang up. Wrote then by email that I need to change the size to 8 from 10. The response was asking my that call line which charges £1 per minute. Obviously I didn't call. They didn't bother to arrange for an exchange through email, for obvious reasons. Put the skirt in a package and stuck the pre-paid label on the package, ticked the 'exchange' option on the label, and put a hand written note in the package with what I am writing here. After a few days, received an email about a refund being arranged minus their fees which was £7. So purchased an new skirt with the right size (8) and gave it to my wife for birthday. But these bloody bastres stole £17 extra of my pocket for doing nothing. I will also write a complaint to the ombudsman.

I purchased several items from Cotton Traders for a purchase price over $400 U.S. The items were not to my liking so I shipped them back for a very small charge. In talking to their Customer Service, they helped me with the return process and refunded me even before they received the items. I found their Customer Service EXCEPTIONAL and wish all U.S. companies were as efficient and accommodating....GREAT JOB COTTON TRADERS.

I dont have any complaints with the products themselves, overall they are of satisfactory quality. My issue is that I have (apparently) been a loyal gold customer with CT for ten years, and as a result I was sent a voucher which gave me a discount of 20% if i spent £30 + before 7th April. So when I rang Customer Services to query why the system would not accept the 20% discount code on my order totalling £39.20, I was told i could only apply this code if i was buying full price items, and not sale items which I had in fact selected to buy. So in a nutshell I could pay full price and get 20% off or just rip up this "wonderful loyalty voucher" for being an "extra special one in a million CT Gold customer" and just buy goods on offer at 50% discount in the current sale which are offered to anyone and everyone on the Planet Earth! Can someone (anyone!) please explain to me what I am missing here because it seems to me that this useless Voucher is just not worth the paper it is written on. The young girl I spoke to at CT was only doing her job bless here but the "explanation/justification" was pretty rubbish and quite frankly a waste of my time. The bonus should be given to customers as a thank you for being a loyal customer, over and above what other discounts are offered and not instead of, otherwise it's not a reward for being a life long customer for goodness sake Thank you for reading my rant .
