“Dick Smith took 99.00 out my account for a First subscription I did not subcribe to. Took me hours to try and get a email address to get my money back, they said I will get my money back within 7 days. I'm avoid all the email addresses were "noreply" they took money without my approval”
“Total sneaky Kogan sign up scam, ripped me of $99, when I was purchasing a $10.99 item from Dick. These thieves will do it again automatically in a years time if you don’t cancel. Lesson learnt: I Wii never buy from Kogan or dick again. Didn’t dick smith model himself as some sort of moral paragon? Shame”

They automatically sign you up to their first membership with a $99 annual fee with your purchase. They do not have a phone number to call for complaints. Deceitful and dishonest trading. I have put complaint into Australian consumer affairs. Avoid at all costs. Absolutely terrible experience. No response to my request for a refund from dick smith.”

I bought a bed and mattress on the Dick Smith website expecting the same standard of service his name is reputed to provide however the bed base came without the mattress. I have tried to follow it up with no response or follow up and no one to speak on the phone about this issue. Furthermore to find out that I have been signed to a $99 membership without my consent. I will be complaining to consumer affairs. I will telling everyone to stay away from this company.”

“Dick Smith are taking advantage of people. My daughter was scammed into signing up to the FIRST service 12 months ago. It cost her $99. She has no income. She contacted Dick Smith last year. Not only did they NOT cancel her membership but they charged her another $99 this year. We are incredibly distressed by this. There’s no way to get in touch with a person there and they have not responded to our emails and web form enquires.”
