“Fantastic Laos Private Tour Fantastic Laos tour. Diep was extremely patient working with me while we ran through several different itineraries. Very helpful and responsive in answering emails. Guides were friendly and knowledgeable, private van comfortable, and 5 star accommodations were wonderful where available. Definitely would use if looking for a similar tour again.”

“SOLO TOUR-VIETNAM, THAILAND, SINGAPORE--FANTASY REAL In mid-November 2019, I contacted Exotic Voyages via email relative to a solo trip to Vietnam and Thailand, which I wanted scheduled for late December 2019 - early January 2020. This was rather short notice to plan a trip of this duration and complexity. I received an immediate email response from Ms. Hoa Tran Thanh, with a very fast followup telephone call. She became my trip designer. During our initial conversation I explained to Hoa that I would be flying into Singapore from Washington DC, and that I wanted arrangements for Vietnam and Thailand. We spoke about budget constraints. I also explained that I am sixty plus years old, with some mobility issues. Vietnam was my main focus for this trip, with stops in Singapore and Thailand representing the “icing on the cake”, so to speak. With regard to Vietnam I had set the following objectives: Experience the cultural, historical, geographical and culinary diversity of the country, going from North to South, with some flexibility built into the schedule. Clean, safe, well-located, affordable lodgings. Not to be rushed and “herded” about in large tour groups Comfortable transport Competent, English-speaking guides From the time of our initial conversations, until I booked, almost four weeks later, Hoa stayed in constant touch. We collaborated on several iterations of the itinerary. Hoa was very informational and prompt in answering my questions which were myriad and detailed. She also followed up with me routinely during the trip. I booked the trip, which included hotels, five intra-asian flights, tours and ground transport on December 10; departure was set for 12/28. I obtained my Vietnam Visa online; the application was completed and approved and printable visa sent to me in about two days. Very easy. Taking into account my mobility issues, time and budget constraints the 26 day itinerary was as follows: Hanoi Ninh Binh Hoa Lu Tam Coc Ha Long Bay Hue Hoi An Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon) Bentre Cantho Bangkok Singapore (EXOTIC DOES NOT COVER SINGAPORE; DID MY OWN ARRANGEMENTS) I was 24 hours late arriving in Singapore, I missed my Hanoi flight connection and my luggage was lost. Hoa quickly arranged for me to get a later flight from Singapore to Hanoi; very reasonable cost for last minute repurchase of this ticket. I was met at the Hanoi airport by Annie, who provided terrific assistance relative to guiding me through the purchase of items needed to cover me until luggage was found and delivered. What a great guide and ambassador she is. Exotic tracked the luggage on my behalf and it was delivered to the hotel in less than twenty four hours. I had one group tour, the remainder were private; guide, driver and me. As part of the rate, breakfast was included at all hotels, and usually plentiful, well prepared lunches served on every tour, except one in Thailand. Standouts for lunches were Cam Thanh Village in Hoi An, Hua Tuc in Ho Chi Minh City, and Hai Ho in Ben Tre. Three of the hotels, Media in Hanoi, Eldora in Hue, and Royal Riverside in Hoi An were outstanding, offering proactive, service-oriented staff, and comfortable amenities for a solo female traveler. The Aristo in Ho Chi Minh City was adequate, save for a restaurant with lousy service and even worse food; Fortuneland Hotel in Can Tho, where choices are apparently limited, left much to be desired, although the breakfast buffet was very good. Gallery 12 Hotel in Bangkok was also acceptable, with a very accommodating staff, and free tuk tuk transport. Most of the hotels served large, varied and elaborate breakfasts buffet style. I toured Ha Long Bay overnight on the Peony. Beautiful ship with an incredible crew. Lots of activities--cooking class, kayaking, cave tour, night squid fishing. Nice food. Gorgeous cabin. Superlative experience. A highlight of the trip. Recommend highly!! All tours were well coordinated. Pickups were timely. Transport vehicles are very good. Each day I was provided with an itinerary update, from Exotic, which included pickup times, emergency numbers, and all other pertinent information. In general, guides were competent and accommodating. They took notice of my limitations and paced the days accordingly. All guides spoke English, some more understandable than others. Two guides, Vien in Hoi An and Dung in HCM City and the Mekong Delta were excellent and superlative, respectively. The very best days of the voyage were spent with them. The Hoi An street food tour with Vien and the Reunification Palace with Dung were particular standouts. It was also a pleasure to meet some members of Vien’s family. Do request their services. In Bangkok, visited the Palace Compound and did the Canal Tour. Also spent a quality day at the excellent Spa 38 (independent) and spnet a good deal of time at Chatuchak Weekend Market, as well as going to Old Siam and Chinatown (also independent). Flights on Thai and Vietnam Air were good. Clean planes; great services for me as a mobility impaired passenger. These services far exceeded the quality of those provided in the USA. Exotic was in touch daily checking on my well-being and comfort. Overall, I was favorably impressed with the professional guest services rendered by Hoa, Annie, Exotic Voyages and their vendors. The single problem that I encountered during the trip was resolved quickly and efficiently. I adored Vietnam, her people and can hardly wait to return. Bangkok also was a positive experience. Vietnam is an amazing and fascinating country. Her people are hospitable, resourceful, resilient, hard-working, creative and robust. The landscapes and scenery are varied and visually stunning. My favorite places on the itinerary were Hanoi, Hoi An and the Mekong Delta, but most especially Hoi An. Charming picturesque, with great shopping and restaurants. I bought back as souvenirs, placemats, t shirts (all tiny, tiny) custom tailored dresses and slacks, a bamboo outfit, coffee, custom handmade leather handbags and a silk lamp from Vietnam. I spent the most money in Hoi An. Spices, coffee, fabric covered notebooks, t shirts, jade and tea from Thailand. I got some inexpensive street handbags and jade at the Bougie Market in Singapore. Highly recommend Exotic Voyages, as well as Hoa, and Annie, their direct representatives. This tour was not inexpensive, as are many that one sees advertised, but was the kind of tailored, personal, customized experience that I had requested, met my objectives, and in many cases exceeded expectations. Costs stayed very close to the original budget discussed. If there were add-ons or changes necessary, no cost alternatives were offered. In all of my travels I have never been cared for in the way that I was during this trip. It was fantasy real. Thank you. I’ll be returning.”

“Can't say enough great things about EV and supporting staff! I contacted Exotic Voyages about 6 months prior to our departure to Vietnam to help with planning hotels,, excursions, transportation, etc. I was immediately connected with Hoa Tran, our personal travel designer. Hoa reached out over phone and email ready to serve and to better understanding of my family's travel and taste preferences. Within a short time frame, Hoa sent over a personal travel itinerary which includes multiple destinations within Vietnam. As part of the itinerary, Hoa did a great job of describing what we could except at each stop and what types of actives would be available to us. I had a couple questions and suggestions that Hoa immediately addressed and in the end we ended up following her recommendations. At this point we had finalized our trip details and were just waiting for our departure date. I would occasionally email Hoa a question about the trip (food, weather, etc.) and she always replied immediately, I wonder if she ever sleeps since we are 13 hours apart. Fast forward a couple months and one week out from departure...COVID 19 hits and all the previous planning was up in the air and uncertain at best. Vietnam was in the process of shutting down boarders and it became apparent our dream vacation wasn't going to happen. Hoa immediately reached out and presented a couple options for us to consider based on our level of comfort. I never expected to need a good problem solver while booking travel arrangements, so this was above and beyond what I was expecting from EV and Hoa. One option presented to us which we ultimately pursed was to travel to Thailand who at the time was not experiencing the same COVID 19 issues as other parts of the world. Within a weeks time frame EV and specifically Hoa, came up with a completely new travel itinerary to Thailand! We basically did the southern gems of Thailand tour offered on their website. This still took a tremendous amount of planning on Hoa's end. I plan on reviewing each destination and hotel separately so i won't go into detail here but all destinations and accommodations along the way were impeccable. The overall trip was seamless and incredible. All connections, transfers, went off without a hitch. We even had to get a tooth pulled when we landed in Bangkok. I texted our tour guide (Nana) and she immediately set up an appointment at a nearby dentist and gave us directions on how to get there. We even got a text from other EV staff to ensure we felt safe and knew where to go. I can't compliment the customer service enough. Keep in mind this is when COVID 19 started ramping up. EV and Hoa were in constant communication about what we should be expecting and any closures. We only missed one excursion due to the virus, this obviously wasn't anyone's fault and EV immediately refunded our money, I didn't even have to ask. To sum up, EV helped us monitor flight status out of Thailand and back to the states while we were hanging out at some incredible beaches. We were thankful to be able to relax and quarantine ourselves on beaches in such uncertain times. After two and a half weeks of traveling through Thailand we were able to return to the states. Upon arrival, Hoa reached out to confirm we made it home and to see if she could be of further assistance. This review isn't so much about the hotels, destinations and experiences EV and Hoa helped set up on short notice but the incredible customer service we received during these unprecedented times. We are truly felt safe during our travels and greatly appreciate the guidance we received before, during and after our trip. If we had to do it again, we wouldn't change anything. Do not hesitate if you are planning a trip to Asia to go through EV, you will not be disappointed.”

“Superb customer service!! Last year my wife and I planned an anniversary trip to Vietnam through Exotic Voyages and their travel designer Hoa Tran. The entire planning was easy and she mapped out for us a wonderful and relaxing and invigorating journey from the top to the bottom of this beautiful country. Our trip included all of the major sightseeing places,plus customized culinary experiences and contact with the locals. As our travel date approached, we were nervous about the coronavirus, but on he day of our departure, there had been no new cases in Vietnam for almost a month, and all previous patients had recovered. While we were in transit,however, a Vietnamese woman was returning from Northern Italy and London, bringing the virus with her. This,of course, changed everything. As the disease spread through the country, lots of things were shut down,and restrictions applied. Hoa never stopped working to assure us a pleasant and safe trip,and organized alternatives to adapt the changing circumstances. What could have been a disaster instead remained a reasonably pleasant (although worrisome) journey. I HIGHLY recommend their services and wish to express my gratitude for their caring professional service a"above and beyond" what would be expected. THANKS AGAIN! Bob and Laraine P”

“21 Amazing Days This was our very first experience booking a trip with a tour company - and we're now incredibly spoiled! My brother had booked a trip last year and suggested we use this company. The planning was a great experience - Ha was knowledgeable and flexible, revising the trip multiple times to fit our requirements. Once in Vietnam, every detail went flawlessly - with guides picking us up and keeping us up-to-date on all the next steps. Each hotel - from Hanoi to Sapa to Halong Bay to Siem Reap to Saigon to Phu Quoc was stunning, with excellent service. It was a difficult time to be abroad as the pandemic was just kicking off - but Ha kept us informed throughout the trip. Would highly recommend Exotic Voyages. And we really enjoyed meeting Ha at the rooftop bar of our hotel in Hanoi!”

“Fantastic travel agency We recently returned from an amazing 3-week trip to Vietnam, with a short detour to Cambodia. Ha at Exotic Voyages was so incredibly responsive in helping us plan the trip and continuing to customize it for us all the way to the end. She made it absolutely seamless with guides and drivers greeting us exactly as planned, and the hotels she selected more than met our expectations. Some highlights were riding around Hanoi on a motorbike (driver provided!), biking and cooking classes in Hoi An (and everything about Hoi An), kayaking in Ha Long bay, and a day traveling by boat in the Mekong Delta. We were also incredibly grateful that we were able to go on our trip and return safely during a time when the Coronavirus was spreading. Vietnam had no active cases when we arrived on 2/27, but infected travelers from Europe began to bring in the virus about a week later. Ha let us know immediately when some potentially infected travelers stayed at a hotel where we were booked, and arranged for us to stay at a different hotel. She also arranged on a moment's notice for us to leave Saigon on an earlier flight to Phu Quoc island so that would could relax and be less concerned about staying in a congested city. We would not hesitate to recommend Ha and Exotic Voyages and to use them again...when everything settles down:)”

“Excellent travel Agency Lucy at Exotic Voyages put the best trip together for us. We had a wonderful tip to Vietnam and Cambodia. I highly recommend this travel company. Our tours were wonderful and everything was coordinated without a hitch. There was a lot that could have gone wrong, with the Corona Virus ramping up during our trip but Lucy made sure that everything was seamless and awesome. I will definitely use them again.”

“Honeymoon My wife and I were hesitant to use a company to plan our honeymoon for us, but boy are we glad we did. Phuong planned an amazing honeymoon for us that had several activities that we loved. We both highly recommend exotic voyages and Phuong in particular. When we travel back to Asia we will definitely be using her again.”

“The Best Honeymoon Adventure! Lucy at Exotic Voyages planned the best honeymoon my wife and I could have asked for. She listened to what my wife and I wanted to do, and turned that into an unforgettable 10 day vacation. We went through 4 different itineraries before we landed on the final one. Lucy was always friendly and very quick to answer any questions we had. She took care of every detail, Visas, ground transportation, tours, etc. If you are planning on going to Vietnam, you MUST use Lucy and Exotic Voyages.”

“Fabulous Trip to Cambodia and Vietnam This was our first trip to Vietnam and Cambodia. It was well organized and a marvelous experience. Our tour planner HaVy was exceptional in accomdating all our requests. She was extremely helpful and efficient in reorganizing our itinerary when we needed to make last minute changes. The personalized food tours,historical tours,hotels and special events were totally geared to our requests. We couldn't have planned a better trip ourselves. I would definitely recommend you have Exotic Voyages take care of your visas. It made it so easy and hassle free at the designated airports. “Vietnam & Angkor Wat Trip Planned by Lucy of Exotic Voyages We just returned from 17 days throughout Vietnam and Siem Reap, just as the world has begun to reel from the impact of the corona virus. I have to stress that not only did Lucy, Exotic Voyages' agent, put together a perfect trip for us, but even more importantly, she was available to us 24/7 as we navigated quickly shifting rules for travel. She was still checking on us even on our return to the US. The trip itself was sensational. Lucy put together an itinerary that reflected our preferences in every way. Her attention to detail is unbelievable. The hotels, guides, and activities were superb. She arranged activities that would have been impossible for a solo traveler to access, like the morning we spent with an acclaimed Vietnamese chef. Mrs Huy showed us around her local market, strolled with us through her village to see where the produce is grown, and fed us a scrumptious meal in her own home. When governments started enacting travel limitations due to the coronavirus, Lucy was in touch with us daily. She changed our hotels when prudence suggested we do so. She assured us she would arrange an expedited flight home if we wished. All in all I must say we felt so well taken care of by Lucy and Exotic Voyages. I would recommend their services wholeheartedly!”

“Absolutely perfect Honeymoon! Mai booked us an absolutely amazing tour of Thailand, which was so perfectly suited to us, it was like she knew us. Lek and Anan were both incredible tour guides in Bangkok, both the street food tour and temple tours were about as awesome as we could have hoped for! All the resorts were perfect, all of the small touches (champagne and roses in one room, honeymoon deserts in another) just really made the trip amazing, Thanks so much to everyone involved. J&A”

“Another Great trip to Thailand with Exotic Voyages Mai Phuong put together Another wonderful trip for us. (She booked our beautiful trip to Vietnam in 2017). We went to Thailand over New Year’s and Mai took care of everything. Everything-flights, tours, hotels, connections-went off without a hitch. All our guides as well as all our drivers were fun, engaging & knowledgeable. Mai patiently went over many itineraries for us. Constantly listening to my concerns and coming back with multiple options. They really understand customer service. I can’t say enough good things about them. “An amazing 29 days in SE Asia! I can't say enough about how fabulous our 29 day tour was! Annie from Exotic Voyages arranged everything for four of us as we traveled through Thailand, Laos, Vietnam and Cambodia. The experiences we had will stay with us forever. Our accommodations, drivers, guides and excursions were second to none and included some out of the way stops that only added to the experience. Any issues that came up were handled with professional care from Annie, and she sent messages every time we changed locations to make sure we were satisfied with everything. I would have no hesitation in recommending Annie and Exotic Voyages to anyone wanting to travel SE Asia.”
