We used Kosta twice - first time there was no drama; he was cost-wise good value, reasonable to talk to, valuable information on things he had seen at various clinics that were good warnings - result good and postively inclined so used him a 2nd time. At this stage we were in the first 6 months of Covid - then the nightmare, the "I am 100% sure of entry for my staff" etc - which did not work out at all, the failure to call back, the failure to deal with massively stressed out prospective parents; the threats to the bio material if not paid for return trips etc - so I think the lesson here, is that if things go well Kosta is absolutely fine and good value; if anything goes wrong beyond the menial stuff, prepare for a really bad journey - Kosta unfortunately does not manage clients well at all when the going gets tough - poor preparation for problems, providing assurances on things that he is not in control of, and then panic followed by aggression towards the client as the client is frankly losing it - understandable given what he is delivering.”

Kosta's name was given to us by our Fertility clinic - they had heard of Kynisi but not used them. We won't get our money back, but the best way that all of us can fight this criminal is to make sure that we ALL tell EVERY Fertility clinic that we're working with that he is a scammer, and to warn their customers NOT to use him.”

I’m so disappointed we didn’t read all these reviews before engaging his services. Kosta has basically used the same bullying tactics as described in these reviews. This is very REAL. Please take our feedback seriously and use other more well known cryoshipping companies. Kosta is basically asking you to write a blank cheque.
MO:
1. He sends a quote lower than competitors.
2. Phones within 1 hour of quote to discuss costs and proceeds to ask you to accept a significantly increased amount (20% higher then original quote). Says that this increased price takes into account any Covid incidental costs. His language and tone is to get you on side.
3. He sends you an invoice for deposit and confirms delivery will take place within 2 days.
4. Once deposit received he goes radio silent, doesn’t reply to emails, text messages or voice messages.
5.When he finally surfaces (for a brief moment) he proceeds to lie about his whereabouts and travel plans and before you know it you’re in this crazy nightmare desperately chasing him to find out where your precious cargo is.
5. He goes radio silent again (we think he does this make one feel even more desperate).
6. Almost a week later he makes email contact and gives you very little information and more excuses (none of which can be substantiated even if you call him on it). If he doesn’t like your questioning he just ignores it completely.
7. After further radio silence and when he thinks you’re about to to cancel, he notifies you that he’s on the flight and making his way for delivery.
8. Within 24 hours he is suddenly demanding 40% more than the original quote and threatens to charge you a penalty amounting to 11% of original invoice (on a daily basis!) unless you agree to pay the final amount immediately. He refuses to deliver before full payment is received.
9. He then tells you he’s the only one able to deliver during Covid times so good luck finding someone else. He also sends you a fabricated table with associated costs. He does not provide you with any expense receipts or actual proof of expenses. He tells you he’s had to take more flights than expected and uses travel restrictions fir this yet he is unable to provide travel tickets proving this.
10. He finally delivers when you pay in full but he leaves it to the last 30 minutes of the day (just before the lab closes).
He is utterly despicable, preys on the weak and vulnerable - basically holds you to ransom before delivery.
He uses extortion/blackmail to get what he wants.
Words of advice:
If you are currently in this situation, cc your clinic and fertility specialist in all emails. The only thing he cares about is his reputation with the clinics!!! Because we did this, we at least managed to receive confirmation from our clinic that he has actually arrived at the delivery destination and we managed to revive confirmation from our clinic that our precious cargo was in good condition. If we hadn’t of CC’ed everyone, he would have insisted on prepayment in full even prior to delivery (despite the delivery already being 2 weeks overdue). Hold your ground!!!
Make sure that your clinic knows that they are not to email him without you being CC’ed. He likes to play everyone up against each other. Keep everyone in the loop all the time. He doesn’t like this as he really needs to communicate when this happens.
He likes to discuss any new or additional costs verbally, never by emai. He LIES LIES LIES. So get everything in writing via. Do not take phone calls - rather tell him to email you instead. Stay away from text messages. Stick to emails with all parties included (especially your clinic na fertility specialist if possible).
Do not accept any agreed change in terms and conditions unless he puts it in writing. He uses the terms of conditions to justify why he can charge more. I would basically be saying to him that you will not agree to anything more than 20% of what has been quoted and state that when you sign it.
This guy is a shark. Be very careful and be prepared to loose your money.”

Never responded to my emails in regards to detailed information about the shipping.
Demanded payment for the deposit. Wouldn't even send confirmation of the deposit received. (Let's not even get into the huge price discrepancy from what was initially quoted).
The worst part was failing to notify that our specimens were to be transported in the same shipper as other unknown specimens!?!?
Other couriers do not combine differing fertility shipments. This is especially problematic in this pandemic era. Plus who accepts liability when there are multiple specimens?
This was never disclosed to us by Kynisi/Kosta and we were only informed by our lab who notified us that this was what they were trying to do.
They never responded to any emails
They never shipped anything
But they sure kept the deposit.

“This company is a complete scam! He charged us for GBR 450 2 years ago when promised delivery from Spain to Canada. I have never received ANY service NOR I received money back. “NEGLIGENT! NEVER USE! Kosta delivered my embryos to the wrong hospital despite all the instructions/consent forms/labels informing of where to deliver them. They were left unattended in the wrong hospital until his negligence was spotted. Kosta has not responded to calls from the hospitals and emails/calls from me to address this situation. I am utterly heartbroken that my last chance to have a family may have been destroyed due to his blunder. These embryos were frozen prior to me having chemotherapy so are so so incredibly precious, Kosta has failed in his duty of care and is now simply ignoring me and providing zero explanation/apology of why this could have happened. All the hospitals I am dealing with will never use him again and are corresponding with the HEFA in order for him to be banned from couriering. Please do not use him.”

This guy, Kosta Kios. displayed all the signs of a Scammer!
1. He was very responsive and super engaged with us (Phone calls, emails)...until we made the first deposit of £600.00 GBP.
And This guy went straight into a RADIO SILENCE.
We made multiple attempts to reach out to him and nothing! we waited over a week... checked with our clinic and he didn't contact them neither.
2. We finally left his an email stating that we do not need the service anymore, that we need the money refunded and he came up with a one liner or "We do not issue Refunds". He also mentioned that he has use the money for "Administrative" works. And out of nowhere mentioned someone named "Sarah". It was bizarre! A Sarah that we have no clue about, and also we've seen no trace of "Admin" work he has done. he even didn't email our clinic. From one of our multiple attempts to call him.. he at some point just opened the line for us to just stayed on the line listening to some background noises. He is rude!
3. The reviews online showed the exact trend, this is his IMO. he preys on parents to be. And has been doing this for a long while.
Kosta Kios is a scammer. He will take your money and will not render the service.

“Kosta Kokkokios (aka Kosta Kios) the owner and director of Kynisi, has elaborated a FRAUD with his business, DO NOT use that company. He required an immediate deposit of 450GBP (approx. $620) as a transportation slot holding deposit, the invoice stated it was for the IVF transport. He said to pay promptly and immediately upon receipt of this invoice. We were still early in the process, not even a permit to import our samples from USA. We decided a month later to cancel the shipping. We had no permit yet, no dates, no transport yet scheduled. We asked Kosta our deposit back. Several times, by email and phone. For a month, he answered once only, saying he will send a partial refund but his bookkeeper should do it. Nothing has been done. It has been 2 months now, we have reported his fraud to the Action Fraud Police in UK, as well as the contact of his bookkeeper Jeffreys Henry LLP in London . DO NOT do business with them, you will never see your deposit money again. Neither Kosta neither his bookkeeper answered and the funds have never been refunded.”
