Unfortunately I have been driven away from my local Lidl at 3 Bellenden Rd, London SE15 5BA because of the constant security staff harassment. They should not be allowed to deal with the general public as they treat customers like criminals for no reason rather than their personal anger issues and a chip on their shoulders. Disgraceful.

It began with a family of four boys, the eldest being around 7 years of age, charging around the store each with their own trolley. The noise was horrendous and they could be heard throughout the store. They were crashing into each other and displays while narrowly missing customers. It was painfully obvious the staff were not interested and nothing was going to be done. I approached the father and said this was not a playground. Words were exchanged then we both went about our shopping. When we went to check out father wife and boys were in front of us with a few customers between us. The father approached me and said "If you weren't so old I would smash your face In" He then left the store saying something to two or three staff members who began sneering and sniggering at me. I asked them if there was a problem and a number of staff approached us. My wife explained what had happened and commented that it should not have been up to us to deal with the situation. One overly aggressive thug replied that they were only kids and how was he supposed to deal with them. My wife said she had been dealing with children for 25 years when he interjected sarcastically "Well good for you". At this point we decided to leave the store and I could hear comments about my age and being useless and not able to fight them. We left our shopping on the conveyor and proceeded to leave being pursued by a number of staff with one threateningly saying you will pay for that with me saying I don't think so. At this point he started removing his jacket and hissing at me he would make me. This is so incredible I feel the need to repeat it. The moron having already stated I looked 72 and unable to fight started to remove his jacket to fight. What a hero! My wife pulled me away by my jumper and another customer ushered me away saying leave it they are not worth it. He had observed the proceedings and was obvious that he knew they were thugs. You can read from previous reviews that the staff are scum and are allowed to do exactly as they please as head office/customer services are not in the slightest bit interested. We contact them on a regular basis and are lied to constantly. AVOID this tacky scum laden dirt hole. Have just read a previous review which was dated a fortnight ago where a customer was abused by thug staff. This was the same time frame as the last time we shall visit the dog hole. As I said staff are allowed to do as they want as no one is interested. Update 18/11/2022. Another big fat *LIE* from customer/🤔 (don't know what to call it. Certainly not service is it? Update I have been informed by the Regional Manager that the thugs involved were in fact managers!!! Managers!!!! I just ye not!!!! Possibly the same "managers" who abused and ridiculed another customer.

I really love shopping in your stores Lidl but when I see that old looking manager with the wonky eyes and tree trunk hooves Beth Grundy, I have to exit your store and shop next door at Aldi, I'm very sorry for this but she is absolutely rude and racist.

Like the customer below i noticed that a member of management looks their nose down on people and staff because from what ise customers overheard her saying to a colleague " She doesn't have to work because her so called manfriend ( if that's what you call it these days) is apparently loaded and pays for everything and blah blah blah". Well Miss I don't have to work leave Lidl you really lower the tone with your wonky eyes and wrinkly skin and fake eyebrows and eyelashes, then LEAVE and by the way Lidl us customers got her name as Beth Grundy and you need to get rid of her.

Halifax road sheffield. Filthy baskets. Bread bags not big enough to get loaf fully in. Therefore loaf hanging out into filthy basket. Will not use this store again.

A couple of days ago, we went shopping at Lidl at Kingswinford, never again. We bought vegetables and fruit, a good 50% of it all, ended up in the bin. I don't think that there was one piece that was not rotten at some part of it. They may well be cheap than Tesco, Sainsburys etc but at least the stuff you buy from these stores are edible.

One of the incentives using lidl is the 10% discount on your next shop once you have spent £250.00 in a given month. The problem with this is that the offer expires after 7 days. I have already spent over £250.00 in December, but won't do another major shop until after Christmas, but this offer expires on 24th December. Its just not an incentive, and should apply to my next shop irrespective of when I do it. Most of lidl's other incentives have the same problem.

Not allowing additional time for disabled shoppers I have been a Lidl customer for as long as I can remember BUT NO MORE! I have been issued with a £90 parking fine for being 14 minutes over the 90 minutes allowed which I dispute, I am disabled with an electric vehicle which I charge at Lidl whilst I shop, being disabled it takes me about 90 minutes to do my shop and this particular day a customer in front had lost her purse which held me up also the charging units was playing up and I was blocked in and couldn’t stop the charge so couldn’t disconnect my cable. I had to struggle back to re-enter the store to log on to their Wi-Fi to stop the charge and trying to get help to get the car moved was like trying to find rocking horse manure. Lidl as refused to help me when they can easily cancel the fine. Under the Equality Act 2010 where concessions are made for disabled people no time limit must be imposed. Not allowing additional time for disabled shoppers (where the parking time is quite limited) could be considered a breach of the Act - for which Lidl would be liable for the actions of their agents. This is absolutely disgusting and Lidl customer service will not help in any way even though it is their responsibility to help. Lidl in my opinion is discriminating against disabled drivers and doesn’t careless about their responsibility towards disabled drivers. I once again ask Lidl to cancel this fine as they easily can.

2 steak & old peculiar pies. Brand Deluxe. There was nothing Deluxe about these pies but peculiar they are. 50% empty and 50% of the meat is lumps of fat and gristle. I would not recommend you try these pies. Unfortunately in the uk pie manufacturers see pies as a way of dumping fat and gristle and covering it in pastry. These are no Exception.

The change from the £200 spend giving a £10 voucher to a £250 spend rewarded by 10% discount from the next shop just makes me feel cheated. At the till today we asked what 'The Product Coupon' was and they said it was a free W5 item so my wife dashed back around the shelves thinking a 40p bottle of bleach was better than nothing and there wasn't a single W5 product there. Lidl, you are taking your loyal customers for fools and it's not nice!

Why oh why Lidl is that member of staff, that lump of lard Beth Grundy still there. Us customers were disgusted with her bragging about how she is doesn't have to work and her partner pays for everything and they take two or three holidays a year and how her partner is running for charity and asking for donations, listen Beth Grundy if you and your partner are so well off why don't you give money from your own pockets instead of begging from other people as you haven't heard, seen, or read there is a cost of living crisis even people who are working are feeling it bad, oh i forget, you and your partner are mega rich and you don't have to work or do anything, as some say good luck but remember that when the time comes and you get some bad luck in your life and you will ( it happens to everyone) just remember that is karma because as customers we find you a shallow, self centered, rude and loud mouth individual, you make staff and people feel small and inadequate with your bragging. I tell you what judging by the state of you all the holidays you apparently take it shows, it a case of " who ate all the food?" (and the answer YOU, lump of lard 🐘🦛). While waiting in the queue, us customers were wondering does your partner need to go to Specsavers, you are around 55 years old and resemble that women from Matilda! Please Lidl get rid of this individual asap as she says" She doesn't need to work or the money " very shallow, ignorant person!

Tottenham Hell? ( Hale ) London store Tottenham Hale London store, I went today to buy some water ( 8 cases of the small water 12 bottles per case) and when I went to pay for it Claudia the cashier said I’m only allowed 1 case and then she said anyway You already been in the store and Bought enough water and another cashier named keresha on another till said I served you before, I said you must be mistaken by some one else and this is my first visit to the store today, keresha said no you have been in today, I said if you don’t believe me go and check your cameras , and I said to her you can’t just go and accuse people of lying when you don’t have proof , god help everyone if keresha goes about her job by accusing people and rudeness to customers. The funny thing while I was arguing my case one customer bought 12 cases of water and walked out , when I questioned Kevin the floor manager simply he said I don’t care, I said one customer allowed to buy 12 cases and others only one case , Kevin repeatedly said again I don’t care . Lidl you stated before I write my review to be honest and not to use any abusing language, I wish you implement those rules to your staff .

Ihave shopped at lidls for a number of years, but I will be moving ,not only their indifference to senior citizens without a smart phone who therefore cannot take advantage of any money off offers, but also because Icannot understand why they have to stock the shelves when the shop is open making very difficult to social distance. This should be done out of opening hours

I don’t have time to write reviews but am so angry not only with the staff in my local store, but after just speaking to a Mgr at cust serv’s & getting nowhere. I’ve called 3 times this week, all 3 staff rude, unhelpful lacking any care. It’s like banging ur head against a brick wall. Most of The staff at my local Lidl’s in Dursley in Gloucestershire I’ve found rude. On one occasion I felt ganged up upon by the duty Mgr & 2 members of staff whilst raising a reasonable question, I cdve done with a security guard. I was left shaking. That Mgr has since left but I experience ongoing rudeness from certain members of staff, one Mgr I avoid asking anything, he is so miserable & I get a sharp response no matter how nice I put a question. This is a question for the Chief executive: Why are so many of Lidl’s in store staff & Customer service staff so rude & miserable with no customer service skills? One female member of staff at the Dursley store sd in earshot of customers, I don’t come to work to keep the customers happy & had a smile being proud of what she sd in no way trying to hide what she sd. I asked another female member of staff, wd u mind placing my groceries, after putting them thru the till straight into the box, which wd make sense, making it quicker & more efficient. This member of staff who has always done it in the past no problem, has changed & become rude, stating, no u do it. A m of staff at another local store, did it no problem, stating it makes sense to put it straight into the box. It seems the Dursley staff (only 1 or 2 are pleasant) are deliberately unhelpful. I wd rather use extra fuel to go to one of the Gloucester stores, than have to face the ongoing unpleasantness I experience at Dursley. I’ve put up with their behaviour for to long, fed up to the back teeth with it, & what I experience from customer services, that I decided to put pen to paper to write to the CEO. When I looked for the CEO’s details, I saw online customer reviews so many experiencing what I have & only giving 1 star. Lidl’s when are u going to get ur act together & do something about this? I also purchased 2 items on 11 Jan, put the receipts carefully in my handbag, it’s a mystery where it’s gone, I cannot find it. I paid by card. Sd to CC’s in law as long as u have proof like a bank statement that’s proof. The packaging shows both are recent Lidl’s only products. Aldi accept a bank statement & date of purchase to trace the itemised receipt. Aldi staff are more customer friendly & accommodating. Despite telling Lidl CC’s I have the bank statement, they say I have to find the receipt which I have searched high & low for but without success. They won’t even give me a credit note, stating even tho it’s obvious it’s a Lidl product, I have to have the receipt. I have shopped regularly at Lidl, but with this kind of appalling service they have lost my custom. I’ll spend my hundreds of £’S at Aldi in future. It’s taken me ages out of time I don’t have to put pen to paper to write this, but I felt Lidl’s & customers need to be aware of what’s going on, particularly that so many appear to be experiencing similarities. Do Lidl’s train their staff?

The lidl app is a total rip. When you manage to spend over the target amount (£100 or £200) in any monthly period and receive a £2 or £10 coupon you can only redeem it at the next shop. Invariably by the time you get the voucher you have just a matter of days left to go shopping again before it becomes inactive, thereby forcing you into shopping early. This is a cynical, unfriendly and self serving product by Lidl.
