“I have Raynaurd’s and in the winter it is brutal. Today was the last straw. I have tried everything. When I went to the doctor, he suggested Sweater Chalet. I was nervous about the price of mittens. I called and spoke to the nicest man. His name was Rick. Phenomenal customer service! Just phenomenal! I accidentally ordered a medium and am a true small. He called me to verify! How many times has Amazon done that? Zero! I am giving this business an easy five stars. Great customer service and above attention to detail. Thank you so much! Sara”

“I emailed the company on my break from work at 3am explaining my situation concerning the need to have my order very quickly. I received an email back by 320am telling me I would have them in the promised time..I quickly tried to place the order but did something wrong...I emailed again to ask for help..within 20 minutes I received an email helping me through the payment process..This was on a Monday at 5am I placed the order..It's Wednesday Dec 1st at 6pm .I have my order and I am SO impressed with the quality and the love that goes into the packaging ..Not to mention the Lil gifts I received from the company....This is forever my store...I will not give another penny to any other wool store.. they are top notch quality, top notch service and guess what???? They are real people. Honest real loving dedicated people who care about what they are selling. I'm a customer for life .I will never, ever forget how kind they treated me at a time when I needed truthfulness. My mom was the knitter in the family She's now in heaven. Everything she made us is now just worn out..I have found a replacement that is just like mom's...How lucky could we be? Don't give your money to chains that just don't care. This reminds of when we had friendships with the local shops and they understood our needs... To be treated like a person by someone taking your money is a rare find these days..not here...I'm a customer forever and will absolutely never shop elsewhere. I want to personally say Thank you....You've made me very happy. I'm just amazed at the quality and the company...May God bless you always and I'll be placing my next order possiblity by tomorrow...We need all new sweaters and goodies... Keep up the great work...your what every company in this country should strive to be!! Integrity, Honest, caring and top notch quality with your products.... “Excellent service (after some phone tag due to holidays). I previously purchased a dachstein military pull over sweater as well as Dachstein three ply Extra Warm Mitts w/ Cap. They have been some of my finest, go to outdoor gear. After 18 years in Alaska I know the value of wool and truly appreciate quality. Once you are out there it is to late to wish that you had purchased higher quality equipment. My new military Cardigan sweater, style 1411 arrived on time and I am sure that it will also provide years of service. Thank You for the best that money can buy. Robin”

“Very good company to deal with and the product I ordered was beyond excellent. I purchased the Dachstein THREE PLY Knee Sock. I did not expect much from these socks as heavy wool socks I had worn in the past (like the type you would wear in a pair of chest waders) were rather like foot bags. These socks are a proper sock and fit my feet perfectly and have kept my feet warm for hours in the snow in a pair of Kennetrek hiking boots; a first. These socks perform better tan my Kuiu Ultra Marino and my Icebreaker Mountaineering wool socks and they don't fall down. I have also discovered why my Icebreakers make my calves itch so bad after a day of wear; they compress my lower leg like a normal sock with synthetic stretch fibers. With these socks my lower leg does not itch at the end of the day because they do not compress my leg and do not migrate down my leg either. These socks are truly fantastic.”

“Hello, I purchased a pair of Dachstein wool mittens in November. I ordered a size 7 but, received a size 6. This was a happy mistake since size 6 was closer to my size. I had measured my hand as indicated on your site but, I have small hands! I ordered your mittens because I have Reynaud's syndrome and my hands get REALLY COLD. The size 6 mittens I received are not snug they are a little big and therefore, not as warm as I had expected! If I chose a size 5 do you think it would keep my hands warmer? I received good service and would like to keep buying your products. Hope we can find the right size for me! Regards, Palma Stabile”

“I would love to write a review however I can’t due to the fact that I still have not recieved my item. The scheduled delivery date was 11 days ago and I still have nothing. Not sure where to go from here. If I ever receive my item I would be happy to review.”

“I have extra long arms so finding the Dachstein pullover sweater has been a lifelong search for something that would fit so well also so very thick and warm while still maintaining breathability. “I just received my Possumdown gloves ahead of estimated arrival time and they are superb! Soft and comfy, these will help keep my cold fingers toasty warm instead of icicle cold. I ordered a large size even though I usually wear medium, and while they are a touch long in the fingertips, the fit is just fine. I'm happy--thank you!”
