Firstly Takealot do not provide a facility to give feedback on themselves only on the products they sale as an intermediary for the sellers. Takealot did not deliver my order to my house as per the order but to an entirely different address. They do not provide their phone number easily but I managed to find it. It is 080873628000. When I called them, they could not explain what had happened and would not give me a refund when I asked for one. Be warned Takealot is not safe and secure delivery as they falsely claim on their website

I had a delivery due on Saturday 5 November which did not arrive. I did not receive any communication indicating that my delivery would not be delivered. I phoned on Sunday morning and was told that my query would be escalated and someone would come back to me, no response. I queried on Monday morning, same story, my query would be escalated. Do you call this customer service?? I call it disgusting service!!!!

After delivery was promised early Saturday morning, 2 hours wait, no product, product was delivered late afternoon. Guess what, totally wrong product!! No communication, they do not care if they made a mistake and also not eager to fix it, expect delivery 12-14 days later. Extremely bad experience with them!

I want to start off this review by saying I have supported "Kalahari" before Takealot. (that's been a while) I have continued supporting Takealot through all the years till now, the straw that broke the camels back. Over the holidays, I ordered covers, cases and screen protectors for my new Iphone. I planned it so my phone(ordered with a different supplier) and the Takealot order would be delivered SAME DAY (28 December 2023) so I wouldn't have to leave my new phone unprotected. The phone came on the 28th, and Takealot - a no show. I had to reach out because Takealot customer service is non existent only to eventually receive a reply that my order will "unfortunately" only be delivered on the 29th. I lost my temper as this is the second time in a row Takealot has failed to deliver on time and now I had to have a very expensive phone without any protection. If I knew this prior, I would have bought elsewhere as Takealot is so unreliable nowadays anyways. My order finally came on the 29th - both screen protectors - cracked. I immediately logged a return and REPLACEMENT. At this point I was so irritated. Now the whole process was being prolonged and I had to sort out their incompetency. I spoke to numerous Takealot agents(Tamara.M , Sizakele.M & Babalwa) and none of them have been useful. I asked to speak to the manager on duty as I knew they were probably skeleton staffed as none of these agents were handling the situation in a sincere manor, all I got was these "automated" "we are so sorry for any inconvenience caused" nonsense replies and not ONE of these agents acknowledge to escalate my query as I asked over and over again. I logged into my Takealot account, saw a small credit only for the cracked screen protectors & if you shop on Takealot regularly you'll know that above R500 is free delivery. If I where to re-order the same protectors I'd have to pay for delivery, for a mistake that wasn't even my fault & I clearly asked for a replacement as seen on the user portal. I continued emailing these amazing agents, one of the agents assisting me at that time, said they would arrange a replacement to which I responded immediately(07th of January 2024) and asked to select my work address under the address as I am NO LONGER AT HOME AND WILL BE RETURNING TO WORK ON THE 08th of January 2024. Fast forward to the next day January 8th 2024, I receive an automated email that my order was created and will be delivered by the 10th of January 2024 (these people after messing up left right and center cant even do priority delivery for the shlep they created) only to see that my address has not been updated, It is set to be delivered to my home address after I had a discussion with these agents. AFTER the order was created, I got an email from Babalwa saying "it's too late and the delivery address can't be changed now" - SO whose fault is this? As far as my knowledge & IQ goes, I spoke to an agent the day before the order was created. A day later they still managed to mess it up. I AM OVER THIS USELESS COMPANY. They are focusing on what feels like mass production, less that customer satisfaction. If they keep on like this, they might not have such a bright future. Horrible experience, I have given them chances, time and time again and this was the last chance. Their quality of products has deteriorated, their quality of service is useless, their morals and ethics has gone out the window. Why would you spend your hard earned money at this company? There is places out there who are smaller companies, and prosper for great customer service & satisfaction. Makes no sense why people would continue religiously supporting Takealot. CHEERS TAKEALOT, it has been AWFUL.

Please think twice about ordering gifts from Takealot who lived up to their name and took a lot from me!Takealot gives you the option to order and pay for an item to be delivered as a gift.I bought a gift for my daughter and when it arrived she opened it and used the product.When I visited her I discovered that the product I ordered and paid for was incorrect so I reported the matter to Takealot who confirmed that the incorrect item was dispatched at it was cheaper than the item I paid for.They insisted on me returning the incorrect item even though I told him it was partially used and the packaging was discarded.They said that in order to process the refund they need the incorrect item returned so I returned it only to see that the refund was discarded because the item was not in its original packaging and partially used.So Takealot took my money, sent me the wrong item, took the wrong item back and now I don't have my money or the product.Shocking pathetic service and absolutely thievery.

We didn't receive the order and now I see the date has been pushed back *again* We ordered the Dec 25th, estimated delivery was the 29th of Dec Then when I checked again, it was 3 Jan, Then checked again, it was 10 Jan, Then 16, then 17 then 19, Now it says the 20th, I have never experienced this kind of issue before, being pushed back so many times but BOTH items show "Eligible for next-day delivery or collection" So how can this be happening? It makes no sense. It feels like your website is misleading when it's stating this, yet almost a month has passed. We have cancelled the order, but with this experience I don't feel I can rely on takealot in future and we will not be ordering again as a result.

I dont have time to write it over and over, they are a bunch of liars and thieves, trying to scam people I cam from previous reviews that they habe been caught a few times but not enough to stop or they just dont care I will never do business with them again even if the product is 10 times more expensive somewhere else

I placed an order on 1Sept Ref 113086376✓ 6 x Sets of 4 Non Stick 13cm Removable Bottom Quinche Sets @ R352 per set.✓Delivery date was 8Sept✓ Rescheduled for 13Sept.✓Waiting for Supplier to fulfill your order✓ 12Sept I got an sms just after 7am - your order is scheduled for delivery on 13Sept before 7pm✓ around 10am - 12Sept, your order is out for delivery before 7pm today.✓ just after 3pm ,12Sept a Takealot driver asks what time I will be available to receive my order...I said anytime after 17h30✓ Pronto , driver arrives...I argue that the order cannot fit in 2 small boxes he had...we check details on the boxes...match my order✓ I further suggest that I first open boxes if it is indeed what I ordered, I pay him✓ He objects as that is not allowed.You pay the order is yours, if anything is wrong, you schedule Returns online or call 0873628000✓ I pay R2117✓ Open the boxes to my horror.🙆🏽‍♀️ Takealot supplied-: 20 x Hillhouse 11cm Non Stick Solid Bottom Mini Tart Pans @ R136 each on their site.😭 Definitely not what is on my order.I open my account and show the driver my Acc still reads -: 6 x Sets of 4 Non Stick 13cm Removable Bottom Quinche Sets @ R352 per set. WHAT HAPPENED TO MY PAYMENT OF R2117 (R5Donation ) PAID FOR MY FULL ORDER OF 6x Sets of 4 Non Stick 13cm Removable Bottom Quinche Sets @ R352 per set. Takealot states in that email CREDIT DUE FOR 2 x Sets of 4 Non Stick 13cm Removable Bottom Quinche Sets @ R352 per set THAT YOU RETURNED. 1 - I have not received my Order for 6Sets 2 - The wrong order delivered on 12Sept is here with me Awaiting the 24Hour scheduled collection for returns it's been 6days and I am still waiting. 3 - I have lost track of how much money I have spend on Calls to Takealot that yield nothing but deeper confusion at my EXPENSE and FURTHER LOSS. 4 - HOW CAN GET THEM TO DO THE RiGHT THING...I can substitute for the exact amount I paid NOT A CREDIT WORTH A THIRD OF MY PAYMENT WHY?!

Bad customer service, customer service telephone rings for at leat 4 minutes no answer, PLS KEEP THE BS THAT U BUSY FOR YOU'RE SELF, send emails and got a stupid answer back, looks like the customer pays for takealot mistakes, when I purchase a item, it was canceled by takealot (NO STOCK) remember first delivery is free, I HAVE NOT RESIVED A FIRST FREE DELIVERY, I made a second purchase and by takealot default I must pay R65 for a free first delivery, WHAT BS IS THIS

Used to be happy with takealot until I wasn't happy with a product ..I wrote my review and it was rejected...has the ANC taken over takealot in the past year..very dishonest to only post their good reviews...how can customers trust when the reviews are manipulated to only post the good reviews..then what is point then.... this is unacceptable ..they must fall

Don't shop with these scam artists!!! As a seller I've personally experienced the Bullshit this company puts it's sellers and ultimately it's customers through. I was quite happy selling through them before the COVID pandemic, as I could store my items quite affordably with them and there were no issues with deliveries or returns, as it was handled in house. Also they advertised for us for free, where as now we need to pay into an advertising account which is just a link to Google ads. Now they are withholding money from me and I've sent out over 6 of my products that were cancelled and I've never received my products back. Also made at least 3 successful sales this month but not a cent to show from it from Takealot. Also towards the end of last year in October i had all my products that I was storing with Takealot returned to me, as no one was buying my products. I had to raise the price of my items to ridiculous levels because of the extra storage fees, success fees and fulfillment fees that Takealot decided to start tacking on after the COVID pandemic (*seriously Takealot you're going to penalize us for being successful?). After I had these products returned to me, all these products (more than 98% of my products) were unbuyable and I was making no sales with Takealot since October in 2021 till March 2022. I couldn't get any responses from customer support and was sent a message in February apologizing to us sellers for the seller support services being unavailable for almost 4 months due to the COVID pandemic. I was so pissed with them for this as they still charged me two months of fees, not to mention my bank charging me monthly fees the entire time. Also because they charged me two months of fees I owed them R753, which they then added R2400 for unpaid fees. Now all my sales are being paid to pay back these pieces of GARBAGE!!! I really thought all these problems would end when I started doing leadtime orders, not realizing the horrors that awaited me. You have to pay for delivery fees for the product out of pocket to deliver the product to JHB or CPT. This would be fine if most of my sales would be in Cape town, but more than 90% of my sales are to JHB, where I need to pay R150 just to ship one item to Takealot. And Takealot has the audacity to charge customers for shipping and then keep all those profits for themselves, while making us sellers ship out of pocket!!! Why Takealot do you work this way? There are 3 possible solutions to this issue. 1. Let sellers deliver to their nearest DC and you transfer it to the other DC using an INTER-DC transfer fee (right now as of 2022 it's still R7). 2. Pay us sellers the shipping fee the customer pays. 3. Get out of the way (give us the customer info directly and let the sellers deal with the customers and send the products directly to the customers). I cant keep doing business this way!! FUCK YOU TAKEALOT!! I WISH YOU PEOPLE WOULD GO COMPLETELY BROKE ALREADY!! FUCK YOU TRY SCAM ME LIKE THIS!! FUCK ALL OF YOU IN THAT COMPANY!! KARMA IS GOING TO KICK YOU ALL IN THE BALLS!! NEVER EVER SELL THROUGH THESE PEOPLE, THEY ARE TRYING TO SCAM SMALL COMPANIES OUT OF THEIR MONEY!!

Ordered a hair product - changed my mind as when I looked at the product, seems completely different to what is advertised. Logged a return which was collected 2 days later and nobody bothered to contact me about the status of the return. After following-up, have been told its declined due to 'not being sealed' or 'broken packaging'. The product came in an open plastic bag in a box - nothing would have been broken anyway. Disgusting service - last time I will order from here. Too bad they've gotten too much of a big head for customer service !

I placed an order on the 12th July and received sms notification that it would be delivered on the 17th July,never received the parcel only to find out through their tracker that my parcel has been delivered. When I emailed them the Fast n furious contacted me to confirm that my parcel was in fact delivered . Later the delivery guy informed that he delivered the parcel at the wrong address and the contents of the parcel have already been used. I've emailed Takealot several times in the last few days and I got no response or update about my order and when to receive it or the refund. I'm disappointed with their appalling service and together with Fast n furious.

a boring experience, they skip a day on my delivery, later tell me the delivery address was wrong, but they do not even update or call on the matter. l don't know which address they are going to use now since they have changed the date themselves but still the same correct address.
