“Plants nothing like as illustrated. Inches high with barely any foliage, even the evergreen ones. It will take at least one year and possibly two, before any of the shrubs are something I would be proud to have in my garden. The hardy geraniums just a squiggle of root. Totally disgusted and disappointed. I would have sent the shrubs back but for the hassle and work involved and the difficulty of getting a refund. At my time of life I shall never see these plants in their maturity. Plants rootbound and I am dounbtful that these will do well.”

We do advise how they are supplied, many perennials in late winter/early spring do have very little new growth on them but they will soon put on new growth as we move through spring and into summer. “Most of the plants in both orders looked a bit diseased or at least battered and discoloured and, sadly, two plants were completely rotten. I unpacked them all within minutes of arrival, as instructed and was very disappointed. I’d had to ring for the whereabouts of my first order as well. I’d been really excited to receive them - I had expected them to be small but not so wizened. I’ve put them all in my grow house, watered them, potted some on and am just hoping for miracles. I think I have been a bit unlucky 😬”

“I bought some sale plants that were on offer at really amazing prices, superb value for aconites, a Deutzia and a trachelospermum jasminoides, they arrived two days ago and wow, the quality and value was fabulous, I’m utterly thrilled with my purchases. We also made a visit to their garden centre a week ago completely unaware it was Parker’s, we are relatively new to this area and had to visit Sleaford, so searched for a garden centre to visit on our journey home, we pulled into the car park and noticed it was J Parker’s. What a fabulous experience, I was completely bowled over by their perennial section in particular, these plants were the finest quality I have ever come across in 30 years of gardening, every plant was like something from a picture book, the cafe was also fab as was the small food section, the rhubarb crumbles (biscuits) were tremendous. We will keep returning to Parker’s as their service and quality of seedlings, bulbs and plants is exceptional every time. The fact that they are only 45 minutes from our new home is an absolute bonus.”
