“I ordered 2 copies of a signed book, both were for birthdays. One copy arrived promptly, but when I enquired about the missing copy I received no reply. 5 emails later I am still waiting to hear anything. The birthday has now passed, very disappointing all round.”

“I ecstatically recommend Love My Read to anyone who enjoys discovering new and interesting titles. Each month options are curated by a diverse group of folks - writers, presenters, etc., and I enjoy perusing titles of which I may never have otherwise seen. It’s also such a treat to get my monthly box with book and fantastic goodies. I love LMR so much, I’ve given subscriptions to 3 of my family members. In addition, the customer service has been very responsive and very helpful in setting me up (I’m in the US) and answering my questions. For anyone who views reading as one of life’s great pleasures, you must try LMR!”

“I splurged on the Stanley Tucci box as a Christmas present for myself. It was a splurge since I live in America. It did arrive very quickly and was a fun gift to open Christmas morning when transportation woes changed all my plans. Instead, I spent the morning browsing the books, planning what to cook from the cookbook, and looking forward to the year ahead. I also have purchased a couple of other books with virtual readings on Fane and have loved finding books that are maybe not quite yet available in America.”

“I really enjoy receiving this every month and sharing the extra treats with friends and family. This is one type of Internet shopping that I do enjoy :) (although it can be tricky to view the catalogue of available books to chose) I have renewed for another year of surprises!”

“I have enjoyed the two books and treats I received but I still haven't had my last choice and my three month gift subscription started in August. I found it difficult to navigate the book choices and almost impossible to get replies from customer service. I await delivery of the Lucy Worsley book about Agatha Christie. I think Love my Read is a good idea but let down by some important aspects of the service. I won't be continuing to subscribe now my gift subscription is finished.”

“I have been subscribing for approx 18 months and the monthly delivery of my Lovemyread parcel is a real treat. Even though l know which book l have ordered it feels like a real gift to myself and l take time (with a special brew) to open it all slowly and try/share the tasty nibbles inside. The bookmark and postcard designs are always gorgeous too. It is one of life's truly simple pleasures. Thankyou ⭐”

“I’ve received my first monthly book box from Lovemyread and I could not be happier. I didn’t expect to have so many goodies included! The presentation is beautiful and the Box is a proper keepsake. The options of books to choose from were varied but all really relevant to black history month and brand New realeases!”

There is always a brilliant selection of books from various genres and I have discovered some fantastic authors that I would have otherwise not come across. “I’ve been with Love my Read for nearly a year now and always look forward to my little arrival of treats. It’s a great way to find new releases. I haven’t always loved the choices for each month but there is such a great range available from previous month selections and the majority of items that come alongside the book are vegan and things I would buy myself anyway!”

“I have really enjoyed the choice of books provided by LoveMyRead and even if there is not anything that quite meets my taste, I have really appreciated the option to choose a past pick or defer a month. There is usually a fantastic selection of treats within the box and it is always exciting to find out what is inside. On one occasion my book was damaged and a replacement was immediately sent out.”

“My Granddaughter purchased a year's subscription to Lovemyread I love it a wonderful idea excellent choice of books. If one month I.e September I couldn't find anything I fancied I get choices from previous months if I still can't find anything a can wait until I find what I want”

“Absolutely appalling customer service. They have taken £52 from my bank account and I had cancelled subscriptions. I haven’t received anything from them and cannot get a response from their customer service other than one email saying they couldn’t see where the problem is. Currently I have no idea how I’m going to get my money back from them as no telephone number and no other way to contact. Total disregard for customers and at worst fraudulent.”

“I’ve waited until the end of my 6 month subscription to write a review. Subscription was bought as gift as I love reading, unfortunately 3 out of the 6 books I ordered were wrong, they were exchanged, but for two of them I had to chase them several times. The ‘release’ date on the books each month are also about a month later than in stores, which kind of felt like their concept didn’t work of new releases being available early. At the end of your subscription you have to use it or lose it. Unfortunately I wouldn’t recommend.”

“I received a subscription as a gift but my pick was sent without the treats. Obviously the book is the most important part but my friends chose this gift because of the additional treats that made it different from an online book store, and this is also what was paid for. I contacted Lovemyread and the customer service team was disinterested and unconcerned.”
