Got an email regarding a review I left for another company. The review was based on trying to actually get a service from the company, so we never actually used them. Yell in their stupidity emailed me asking to verify I had used the company by sending a copy of an invoice. I replied to the email stating I hadn't used them and if Yell had bothered to read the review they would have seen the review was about the initial service when phoning the company. The reply email bounced, what a shower of incompetent clowns!

Even one star is to much for this service (if you can call this service at all). They will promise you that website will be ready for few weeks but will not deliver it for months. they are legal thieves please be aware.

After grand promises, I entrusted Yell with my company's business. Not only was no result achieved from the campaign, its start was delayed by months, but mistakes were repeatedly made, ads didn't appear, and none of the regular reviews and adjustments actually happened. I cancelled the campaign and went to a smaller digital marketing business that's now turning in great results. I continued to receive emails from Yell for months before finally managing to get an unsubscribe to work. Now they've started spamming me on an unrelated e-mail address. The messages have no unsubscribe option, and Yell refuse to remove me from their list. I have put in a complaint to the Information Commissioner's Office. Avoid this unprofessional bunch of charlatans at all costs.

Um, literally useless? I left a very honest review and the dishonest owner was allowed to remove it because it was "defamatory." This happened again, so I then left a review stating that I could only advise people to stay away but didn't go into detail, and then Yell allowed the garbage business owner to delete THAT because "It did not contain any information on the experience of the services/products the business offers." Literally so dumb; they censor customer input and give businesses the ability to HEAVILY edit their reviews. Not trustworthy at all.

Awful, dreadful Company. Yell contacted me to build my website in January 2022. I wasn't planning on a website for my business as I planned to sell on Etsy. But Yell promised me the world and I fell for it. It all went downhill from there. The website was built and went live before I had any input. It was shocking. Text which couldn't be read, awful layout, it just looked like it had been done by a child. I had to completely re design it myself, which took me a week of very late nights/often no sleep after work. But it got done, by someone who has never built a website. I was told that Yell would take care of any changes and there were some that I didn't have the knowledge to do. Such as a lightbox. I was also told this couldn't be done..... I managed to do it. Aside from shoddy quality, Customer Service is the worst I have ever and ever hope to experience. Send an email and you will get a frustrated response at the end of the day, meaning your queries run over the course of a few days. Call and you can expect to spend an hour of your time in queues. Use the new messaging service they are so proud of as the 'Quickest way to contact them' and you will waste even more time and have to call anyway. Payment - I was specifically told I couldn't use Wix Payments. However, Yell in their wisdom (or lack thereof) set Wix payment up on my site and it took 3 weeks to receive payment for goods sold, and I only got it then because chased them and then had to jump through many many hoops. The final nail in the coffin for me though was when I spent all weekend until 6am, having 3 hours sleep, uploading all of my stock to my Facebook and Instagram stores. I spoke to Yell about some issues (surprise surprise) on the Monday and was told that I should link my Wix website to the Facebook and Instagram stores to update all in 1 go in future. I had dreams of how much time I would save, no more sleepless nights, what a winner. How wrong was I?!...... The whole lot got deleted and caused Facebook to block my store. Which I then had to re gain approval for. This took a couple of days, all time where my business looked ridiculous to my customers, who were excitedly told about the shops being open for them. Yell blame Facebook, but it was all up and running before they stuck their noses in, so I simply cannot agree with them. It's been a week now since I finally got out of the contract, and that was only because I contacted Claire Miles the CEO and the entirety of the Hell Leadership Team to inform them of my disgust in the service received. I still haven't fully populated my Facebook store as I feel totally exhausted from my hellish time with Yell. They have affected my business, my mental health, my full time job and also the additional business I was starting, but have felt too exhausted to do from all of the stress. Before you spend a fortune on this service, I urge you to look around for a more personable service who actually care about their customers. Throughout my time with Yell, I have run my own Google Ads running and I was completely managing the SEO and keywords on the website. If I (a complete novice who has spent their career in Construction and not web building) can do it, then anybody can. I feel relieved to be free and gaining my mental health back every day. I hope I can gain the strength to move my businesses forward. The funny thing is, Yell sent me an email today saying they accept no liability for my issues and have let me out of my contract as a Goodwill Gesture. Why can't people just admit to their shortcomings. Goodbye Yell, I hope you take my suggestion for the name change HELL

They are paid to remove all reviews complaining of poor service on business listings. Thus, most of the reviews on the website are not genuine. This is fraudulent behaviour.

Absolutely useless. I have not used them in years and when trying to write a review for a business it keeps erroring with 'No Profanity Please', there is no profanity in the review written for that business. The only profanity will be directed at you Yell.com...

Yell is full of Scam, they mis sold my company by lying. Their sales team is fake for they let you sign for what they don’t provide. They only want money but their services are fake. Please avoid this company or else you will regret it. The other thing you rent the website they would have designed for you and they use Wix platform which has nothing much for business and has cheap features there.

Simply a well-organised scam. I know i am part of the masses, chanting they are scammers, but it is sadly a simple truth. Do not use this company, we have decided to proceed by court instead of paying for their fake services.

I used yell and only this Wednesday managed to get shot of them. My contract ended last August and to cancel any further business was an absolute nightmare. yell salesperson are liars, no contact to go over stats which by the way are less than pitiful. As far as I'm concerned yell is a pure sales organisation with ZERO back up for their product. Once they get their hooks into you it's a nightmare from start to finish. Yell is a dinosaur and it's dying.

I cannot tell you how poor the advertising is with Yell.Com. 6 weeks from making the worse decision ever by signing up for a 12 month waste of time and more importantly money advertisingcontract. I have now joined the we hate Yell group on Facebook and getting advise on making a formal complaint. If you read this and are thinking of using Yell - DONT DO IT.

DREADFUL. Yell took over my website from WebEden after WebEden advised me months ago that at the end of last year my website would be closed which was fine by me. Next thing I know WebEden has migrated my website to Yell along with my card details and now Yell has charged me for a migrated website that I hadn't asked for. DISGRACEFUL.

Yell.com is a pure money making scam. All of their products are worthless. They tie you into a 12 month contract and do Jack all. Had 3 calls from the whole 12 months. The add on services are things you can do yourself for free in a couple of hours. The customer service is awful, no follow up calls from any of my ‘dedicated’ support team. When I called to cancel they convinced me to stay for another month, promising me results but to no avail and forgot to cancel after a month so ended up paying for a few more months. I refused to pay but they called me everyday sometimes twice a day chasing this debt and eventually sent debt collectors and bailiffs after me. I’m guessing the reviews on here must be fake too as not a single person I’ve spoken to who has used yell services have said a positive thing about them. Avoid with passion to save yourself the headache and money on any of their services website building, sponsored Adverts, google AdWords, etc better to go to a more specialised reputable company than yell a drowning company struggling to survive.
