This was far more than I had intended to pay for my 12 year old grandson’s birthday present. However, it was worth it. The quality was excellent and he is so proud of having such a lovely set to play with. He, his parents, and his siblings have used it nearly every day since he got it. I love that each piece has its ‘nest’ which helps to ensure they are both protected and none go missing in a busy household. I did make a soft bag to protect the surface during storage. It may be something the company might consider offering with the sets.
