It's unreasonable to expect to unpack and use the costume. A little bit of work will make it look superb. It's polyester so an iron on very low heat gets out the wrinkles. Add creases to make it look military. A paper plate inserted into the hat works perfectly. I needed a couple of cardboard 'stents' on either side, just left for a few days, remove and it's perfect. Keep the paper plate in though for a military hat that doesn't collapse or fold. Black belt with a buckle and black shoes and you're done! I bought a cheap pair of aviator glasses to add, but they're not essential. Delighted with the value-for-money! Retro shops would've cost me more than double.
