You have to take some care in applying the Citadel varnish, (as with any aerosol varnish) it does not like high temps and humidity. However once properly applied it works great protecting the paintjobs of all miniatures be it plastic, resin, or pewter.
It does have a semi-matte finish, so a light dusting with a matte finish is necessary if you want a completely flat final product.
