Grinder certainly feels premium and looks it to. Small in size so fits in without needing too much space. Very quiet running, and has always auto turned off for me quickly, as opposed to some reviews. I only grind between 50 and 60g, less obviously for pour overs, and this grinder only has small hopper designed for single dosing. When you finish grinding you can use the knocker on side to help remove any grinds retained, and this works but I also lift and close the lid quickly and tap and rub my brush on the exit hole and loads does come out (see photo), not a major problem but it is a messy operator and needs cleaning up after. The grinder I have upgraded from (Wilfa svart) I used to bang on the table to remove after each grinding and brush up the grinds so it’s nothing new, but the Ode ‘seems’ to be worse although the mess really is only a gram and seems mostly chaff. I am pleased with the grinder so far with regards to grind quality, I do Hario V60, Kalita Wave and regular drip with my Sage Precision Brewer, but still feel there is lots to learn with grind adjustments to perfect as the grinder still feels so new to me. It is only designed for pour over / filter etc after all and I will get a dedicated espresso one eventually to use with my Barista Pro and any subsequent upgrade, but I intend to keep the Fellow Ode as I do really like it. I may get a Kruve to see the actual quality of the grinds consistency, but the filter coffees have always finished with nice flat beds and even looking grinds so it is not priority. So the nice, smart, quiet, very striking looking grinder designed for filter coffee is recommended by me as a good purchase.
