This plate is an aluminium with ABS center insert piece. That plastic part has to be first cut and it's a bit tricky because the blade can't go down enough to allow plate locking before this first cut… anyway, it's doable without so much risk. The pros : - aluminium part is really well made and flat - the micro allen screws are a precious help to level perfectly with the table - I love that mat black colour, looks "professionnal" to me. The cons : - I had to scrap the inside lips of the plastic insert, it was uplevel by at least 1 mm - you need to take out the lock to extract the plastic part, a little notice saying it would have been helpful… That said, this plate is a really nice upgrade to replace the stock orange plastic plate ( but keep it for the bevel cuts ! ). Ordered at the french shop, delivered within three days, well packed.
