The carburettor solenoid on my 1980 Volvo 244 was getting a bit tired after 40 years. I couldn’t find a listed replacement at a sensible price, so I started looking at solenoids for similar carburettors (Pierburg/Solex etc). This VW item turned out to be exactly the right part. Heritage Parts Centre shipped the item swiftly and it was well packed for transit. I took a few electrical and physical measurements to confirm the solenoid would fit my Volvo - and then went ahead - I’m pleased to say it fitted exactly and operates perfectly. It saved me over £80 against getting a listed part as well; this was a very good quality part.
