We ended up buying this directly from Aleko since the price was slightly cheaper than what appeared on Amazon. Overall, the gate materials were fairly good quality and I suspect will hold up well over time. Here are some things you do need to be mindful about if you decide to go with this gate. For starters, the crating material was pretty cheesy and cracked with minimal effort. It (crating) had to be made in China. Once we got the gate leafs and posts out of the crate, no visible damage was apparent. Next, it was very apparent that this gate was manufactured with metric specifications and somebody converted metric to Imperial along the way. Do not trust any listed measurements -take your own. Another issue was the grease fittings. They were made of brass and had to be replaced. Go to Ebay and they sell metric grease fitting kits for $11.95 and the fittings are made out of steel. Another issue was the paint job. THe instructions said the paint was "powder coated." I disagree. I have seen powder coated paint and this is not it. Lastly, the posts were a little less than 4" x 4". If you are thinking about mounting a ghost controls gate closer, you will need to get a 3" x 3" angle iron to affix onto the post to ensure that the operator mount will be fully adjustable. For the money, this appears to be a good gate. If you are placing this gate over a level surface and level unwinding road, it should be relatively easy to install. If however you live in the TX Hill Country where your driveway is turning and winding, then a laser level is a must.
