“As other reviewers have noted, the material this awning is made of is basically the same fabric patio umbrellas are constructed with and that material fades fast and also tatters in wind and weather. The one I received has some crummy stitching in corners at the front too. The frame is sturdy and assembles easily. The hardware is also good quality but the design of the top clamp pieces has the clamp bolt UNDER the awning material instead of OVER TOP of the material, which makes putting the thing up and striking it for Winter a clumsy adventure. I also used 2.5 inch deck screws to mount the hardware rather than the thin screws and anchors provided. "Good enough." Not something you can expect long service from. Mine's over a window in a tight space between homes here, so it's not all that observable by anyone not actually looking for it from the street in front. It does what I needed it to, block the morning sun to drop the heat a bit in one room and stop the sun from bleaching furniture in that room. I have pro heavyweight awnings on my other windows and will on this one when I have the extra $700 for one!!”
