“Very nice unit. I have experience with the older FP-102 series units, so I was familiar with the quick change tips. There is a sleep mechanism when you put the iron back in the holder . You can set the time to sleep and the sleep temperature. From 330F (default sleep temp) to 730F (my set temp) is less than 5 seconds. Pluses - power switch on top, sleep mode, very light handle (iron), very fast warm up. Minuses - programming instructions are poor. Some of the settings are not explained at all. The new sponge handle locks in and makes it difficult to remove the tip. This is annoying as I like to keep a different sponge handle with each tip and change them quickly. I will probably nip off the lock tabs.
Overall, very easy to use and would buy again.”
