I love root beer and this is the perfect translation to tea if you are a big fan of chai.

Been loving American Roots! The tea house provided samples of this blend as an iced tea with oat milk and raw sugar and I've been making it all summer ever since!

I had a cup of this tea, iced, at Roots Gastropub in Grand Junction. I'm traveling full time right now, but I can't wait to get a permanent address and buy some for myself. This tea is so unique. I try to limit my caffeine intake for health reasons, but I get so tired of fruit and flower teas. This is a fun alternative. It is reminiscent of sipping on a cola, but earthier and spicy. I'm not a fan of spearmint at all, but fortunately that note was balanced out by the rest of the spices. It is a fun tea to try.

Use a little extra tea and give it a long steep, add honey and ice it down with some milk for an amazing experience!

Spearmint not rootbeer to my tastebuds. Removing the spearmint may improve the taste.

If you are looking for an interesting tea to sip on, this is definitely the tea for you. The flavor and aroma of the tea is quite complex and lovely. Every time you open the tea tin, you are hit with the pleasant smell of root beer. While the tea does have a lot of strong root flavors like cloves, cardamom, sarsaparilla and ginger root, the blend is quite tasty. I steep this tea when I need a brain break from work or school, and it works like a charm. The only problem that I've had with this tea is probably how crumbly it can get. I always expect a few tea leaves sneak out of my infuser, but I was initially shocked at how many leaves managed to escape the infuser the first time I made a cup. When I brought the tea home, I was careful to not damage the leaves. I don't know if the batch I bought was possibly overworked or over-handled at the shop. Regardless, I still enjoyed this tea, and I recommend it for people wanting to get off the hamster wheel of floral/botanical herbal teas.
