- Sculpt and paint job are wonderful - Tough ship with lots of options (astromechs, turret, bombs, torpedoes, BTL-A4 title, 2 factions) - Fun in Aturi Cluster!

While always my favorite of the Star Wars starfighters, I understand others reluctance to give them a try. It's slow and sluggish, but takes a pounding and with the ion upgrade adds some versatility. That said, FFG nailed it again with the sculpt and paint scheme! Feels just like the movies and makes a great display piece.

I received the Y-Wing as a gift, and this ship has been a blast to fly in my Rebel squad. It's as slow as a turtle and as beefy as a cow, but this ship can soak up the damage with 3 shields and 5 hull. The Y-Wing really begins to shine when equipped with the ion turret. Using a 360 degree firing arc at Range 1-2, this turret only dishes out 1 damage at a time, but if it hits it "disables" your opponent's ship for the next turn, forcing them to take a 1 speed straight maneuver (white). This has the added bonus of ensuring a stressed enemy ship stays stressed AND you know it's position on the following turn, allowing you to set up some great shots from your supporting Rebel craft. I definitely recommend fielding at least one of these if you like to control the board!

The Y-wing can take some damage, but it can't get out of the way of anything with its low maneuver. With the right upgrades, however it makes a tough little fighter to handle. Besides, it is an iconic fighter for the rebellions. Should be a definite addition for any rebel player.

Going into X-WIng, I didnt really have a clue what to buy so I just went old school and bought a y-wing. Wow, was I surprised! It is such a tank and has fantastic options to really make it a work horse for you fleet. I'm so glad I bought one!

Adding the TLT to the Y-wing is such a beast. Don't forget to get the Scum and Villany expansion to get the BLT-A4 upgrade. Definite must have for your collection. Probably should get more than one.

Surprisingly versatile, the Y-Wing is a fantastic ship in X-Wing Miniatures. Able to take astromechs, 2 torpedoes and a turret upgrade which allows shooting outside your firing arc, Y-Wings are powerful ships. To top it all off, 8 hitpoints keep them in the game long enough to serve their purpose. Y-Wings tend to get better the more you fly and the newer expansions add even more options to bolster your fleet.

A wonderful ship! FFG really nailed this one in gameplay. It's not fast or flashy, but it'll get it done. and at a premium to boot! Add one of the astromechs from the rebel transport pack and you have a mean control ship that'll ruin your opponents day! I never feel comfortable flying without one of these fellows in my squadron. Unfortunately, it's not FFG's best model. The engine nacelles are sometimes crooked and the paint job is a little drab. Nevertheless, it's a must have ship, for serious squadron leaders that know that fancy displays don't win dogfights, good old reliability does!
