“I'll start with sizing since that was my top question when placing my order. I wear a size 39 in most shoes and slippers: Sanita, Giesswein, Birkenstock, Haflinger. I wear a size 38 in Glerups just because they stretch so much. I ordered a size 39 in Woolfit and the length was slightly long; I think a size 38 would have been a better fit. So I would say if you have a narrow to medium foot, definitely size down one size. However, the circumference of the slipper was HUGE on me. Like, comically huge. My foot is medium, not super narrow, but no meat on those bones. I could fit two fingers between my foot and the slipper at the top, and I don't think sizing down a size would have solved that issue.
However, the quality of the slipper is exceptional. The wool felt is thick and there's a double layer underfoot. I could tell that they would form to the foot beautifully with wear. I have bilateral Morton's neuromas my arthritic feet, and they feel everything. I could walk in these slippers pain-free without the neuromas zinging with every step.
The rubber was perfect - grippy without being sticky. They were exactly what I was looking for; no worries about accidentally walking through spills, or running out to the garage, but not thick or heavy enough to be 'clompy' through the house. Nice, soft, and silent when walking. The stitching around the rubber was very well done. Top-notch quality.
I did have to return them, unfortunately. Without womens sizing, these were better fitted for the male foot, or for a very wide and meaty female foot. For my foot, they looked like Ronald McDonald shoes. Beautiful quality. Would purchase again if the width issue could be fixed.”
