How would you rate the course based on skills & knowledge learnt?
“Almost a year ago, I wanted to join BBC Maestro primarily for this course. I waited because I have also been a subscriber of Masterclass for several years.
However, since I am a cartoonist and writer (I do have some books published) I was still keen on this course. As it turned out, I started with the photography course, and some other courses like writing. I wanted to keep this course for "dessert" as it were.
I have to say that I was only marginally happy with the result. This is because there are concepts, but something is missing when it comes to teaching. It's more like a "show and tell". There's a zing that comes alive with someone like Dan Brown (Masterclass) that's missing. It could be just a rather laid back personality, but would I recommend it? Possibly not. That's kind of sad in a way.”

How would you rate the course based on skills & knowledge learnt?
“This course is delivered by a wonderful, current author. It is delivered directly and pleasantly. It covers every step of the various publishing journeys trodden. As compelling as her books are to read, this course is just as compelling to watch and is easily absorbed. Thank you. .”

“Julia presents the course in a relaxed manner and it feels like a conversation as opposed to a learning event.
She is easy to listen to and the course is broken into bite size chunks which are easy to digest. The content is relevant and I'm learning so much. Julia has a huge influence on my writing and I know I'm on the right path as I move through this course.”

“Love Julia, she's so warm and full of sage advice. Very helpful and insightful. Also love the fact it's in bitesize lessons, so it's easier to fit into busy days. And enjoying the exercises.”
