Q Parts Performance Classic Fast Road Camshafts for A series engines, suitable for MG Midget models 998 to 1380cc.
Manufactured from CNC machined billet, designed and engineered in the UK to provide increased valve lift and duration for a sportier drive and cross drilled for improved lubrication and efficiency.

- Fast road specification
- Extended RPM & engine performance
- CNC machine steel billet 55-60 HRC
- Designed & Engineered in the UK

Developed for:
- A-Series 998cc to 1380cc
- Standard or 1:5:1 rockers
- A-Plus slot oil pump drive only
- Carburettor or injection models

NB For fitment on MG Midget, early Minis with pin drive and 1275cc Minis with star drive, a slot drive oil pump is required.

“Just fitted it to the engine, initial local run tested on suitably named Hill St. Could the engine manage to get up to 3rd gear from a standing start? Yes, would not have tried that before. Could it get up the even steeper Melifont St in 3rd gear with a running start but not excessively breaking the speed limit? No. Could I change into second gear fast enough to avoid using first gear? No. So initial thoughts is the fast road camshaft does make for a more responsive engine with improved low end torque. The car does have a 3.7:1 differential. Also purchased the cam followers and vernier timing gear kit and new chain. Recommend purchasing the vernier timing gear kit to enable easier task of getting maximum inlet valve lift at 107 degrees after top dead centre on number 1 piston. Recommend reading the fitting information on mgb Q parts fast road camshaft G041, to learn about bedding in procedure for camshafts and followers.”
