This is the 2nd box we've ordered of this patch. My husband has a habit of being too rough and ripping his sensor off. The patch definitely helps keep it on. Lifespan off his 14 day sensor without this patch is MAYBE 7 days if we're lucky. With the patch MOST of the time it will last all 14 days. Typically by the time it's ready to be changed, the patch has started to peel a bit around the edges but is still firmly in place. We've noticed he has the most trouble during summer when he's out working in the hot sun and sweats a lot. This man is a sweat factory. He definitely puts the adhesive to the test on this patch but it's always up for the challenge. 100% recommend. Remember to shave, exfoliate, clean and dry the area your putting the patch. He typically takes a shower scrubby glove and scrubs his arm real good so it'll stick better. You want to put the patch/sensor on fresh out of the shower after completely drying off so no oils have had a chance to get on the skin yet. Give this product a try, you want be disappointed!

Bought these for my husband as he kept knocking his sensor off in door ways, he loves the security and they don't interfere with the readings like other plasters have in the past. Nice range of colours too.

I’m generally a big sweaty guy. I don’t get how people say it doesn’t stick after a day….they must be super greezzyy. It’s not perfect, but it has helped protect accidental sensor rip offs. I didn’t realize how close I walked by door frames until I had a sensor on my tricep. Good protection. I use about one a week, so two per sensor. Daily showers. It’s better than fighting with your insurance to get them to pay for a new sensor that ripped off early. Buy ‘em. Don’t whine.

These patches are water resistant. Meaning the CGM did get wet but not wet enough to disrupt my readings and alerts (while on my arm.) When I wear my CGM on my abdomen the connection is disrupted by the water but as soon as I get out I get readings again. Without a patch I have to wait for my dexcom to dry out a bit before I get readings again because water gets trapped up inside between the sensor and transmitter...if that makes sense. Also I highly suggest skin tac with these. The edges tend to roll after they have been in water. So I put skin tac on them before application and the reapply it on the edges as needed. Also the middle has a separate piece of adhesive backing, if you don't want the patch to be stuck to your transmitter or libre...LEAVE that small backing on and position it over your CGM. These are my absolute go to for the summer or any time I will be swimming or using a hot tub. Also it's nice to kinda streamline the dexcom on my arm so it is less likely to get pulled off.
