I booked a holiday with alpha rooms in January 16th 2020 to stay at hotel in Athens in October 2020. The hotel in question had to close due to covid and even though they informed Alpharooms, the money was still taken from my account! Alpharooms, failed to tell me of the hotel closure and it was by pure chance that I was following the hotel on FB! Like everyone else, I was promised a refund, then told I had to wait 12 months before I could claim it, and was issued with a credit note until that time, even though I said I did not want one. Its now past 12 months and alpha rooms are now saying I have to wait again for a refund and and in the meantime have issued me with another credit note until December 2023!!! Such a joke! They are never going to refund me. They owe me £639. Im livid. They do not respond to emails, they are useless in customer support, I even wrote to the managing director and he didn't reply. They say they are a member of ABTA but if you search the company, they clearly aren't. Im at a loss. HAS ANYONE ACTUALLY GOT A REFUND.???
