Covid 19 cancellation. Despite being told I would receive a phonecall, I rang them and waited on hold for 45 minutes which I understand during these exceptional times. HOWEVER I offered them 4 options: 1. Rebook for the same site at the same cost next Easter. REFUSED because the Easter Holidays where I live are different to the holidays in Devon this year so I would need to pay the difference for next year. Probably at least £250+ more. I work in a school and it seems that it’s my problem that I can’t move the school holidays to suit Hoseasons. 2. Change my holiday to a different date at a different site and pay £30 extra. REFUSED They cannot do that. 3. Change my dates, drop from 4 nights to 3 but they honour my original price. REFUSED They cannot do that. I could pay £100 extra for a bronze caravan when I’d originally paid for gold standard. I explained one of my party has chronic health issues which means that I need central heating throughout. Hoseasons clearly not concerned about the health and wellbeing of their customers. 4. Refund. REFUSED They cannot do that. Advice given: Keep an eye out for offers if you cannot afford pay more! My money will now sit in their account for 12 months until they take it back because I won’t be able to find a holiday in my price range in the school holidays. And believe me, I’ve searched for one! On a more positive note, my sister has a booking with Parkdean who are giving refunds. I have emailed the chief executive of Hoseasons and will wait a few days for a reply. I will happily update my review if I get a positive response. I suppose my next port of call will be ABTA and Trading Standards but I hope that Hoseasons will reconsider and show some compassion and humanity. With the risk of boring everyone, expect to see this review on as many platforms as I can find. Come on Hoseasons, do the right thing!
