When I placed my order it was on a 4-6 week delay and was told that I would receive an email where I could pick a delivery day. However, one day I got a text saying that the item I ordered would be arriving that day in a matter of hours. Me and my partner were both at work all day so wouldn't be at home to sign for it and check it so I rang the company and they said that they would tell the driver not to deliver the item and re-arrange delivery for a few days later when I would be at home. This did not happen. When I finished work I got a voicemail saying that they had left my parcel, which was a sofa bed, with hour neighbours who we had never met before and let them sign for it. I was unhappy with this as we didn't know the people and we wanted to check the item wasn't damaged before we signed for it. When I rang the driver to find out what happened I told him that I didn't appreciate him leaving my parcel with people we didn't know without our permission and I got abuse down the phone and was told that it was not his problem and that I should take it up with the company that I bought the item from. When I asked the driver for his name so I could speak to the delivery company about situation he hung up on me immediately. My main issue was with the drivers attitude however the company should have a policy where items should not be left with anyone other than the person that ordered it unless permission is given to do so.
