It worked well.
The only thing we weren't sure about was whether we could just drive out or whether I had to do something with our ticket and the payment machine. I spoke to someone on the intercom who was very helpful and I learned that the ticket had enough information on it, including my vehicle reg, to just drive out.
I imagine that there are people who end up putting their ticket in the machine.
