I have seen the commercials from the other vendors and always thought how silly they were, "I've fallen and I can't get up". When it actually happens to someone you love, it brings it into focus. My 85 year old mother, who lives by herself, had her left hip give out on her as she was going for her morning paper, this last Thursday. The hip apparently shattered, then she fell. Once she pulled herself back into the house and gathered her senses, she pushed the pendant button. She was unable to stand and her left leg was twisted unnaturally. Alert 1 performed as advertised. The Paramedics were called, they made entry through the grill work (with the use of the key in the lock box) and had her stabilized and on her way to the hospital in no time. Alert 1 personnel called all the numbers on the list, just as instructed. The episode was frightening, but made manageable through the use of this service. My mother could have expired, alone, and in excruciating pain had it not been for what you did! Thank you very much! Scott
