I was with my Dad when I pressed the button around his neck and no one responded, then I went to the base and pressed the big red button and about 60 seconds someone responded. Not sure if there was a problem with the button around his neck or if I was just a little panicky due to the emergency of getting him to the hospital. But the ambulance showed up within minutes.
