The impact of the debt that myself and my wife was in had been affecting our relationship. We seemed to be arguing a lot and at the time it felt like we were going to work and didn't see any of the money because were paying so much out every month. We couldn't afford to do much with our two children as we didn't have any disposable income. It was a very hard, difficult period of time. It seemed like all out time was consumed with worry thinking of ways of trying to pay off our debt.
We realised that we couldn't go on like we were and made a decision to do something about it. We made an appointment to see somebody from The Citizens Advice Bureau. The gave us 3 options to look at and one of the options was go into an IVA. They helped us book an appointment with a representative, who visited us at our home.
The person who visited was very friendly and helpful. She explained to us about the process and what we needed to do. We agreed to go ahead with the IVA.
Together a repayment plan was agreed and this lowered our previous multiple repayments to a singular more affordable payment. They also helped us to reclaim some money from PPI and accounts charges that shouldn't of occurred.
Were nearly at the end of our IVA and couldn't be happier. It has given us back our life. It has helped us to manage our money and budget better. I can't thank them enough and would recommend them to anyone.
