I placed an order for an ‘in stock’ washing machine and tumble dryer on the 24th November. I selected a delivery date of the 28th November on your website for which I arranged with my work to be at home to accept the delivery. Your distribution agent CDS failed to deliver on this date.
I spoke with Nick at Appliance City on the 28th and he advised there had been a problem, which I had not been advised about. Following a chase up from myself, Nick arranged that that items would be delivered the next day (29th). I received a text that evening from CDS confirming a timeslot of 08:30-12:30. Again I arranged time off work to be able to accept the delivery.
CDS again failed to deliver. I waited until 12:30 and no delivery was made. I called CDS and they advised they were unable to deliver. They offered to deliver the next day (30th), but were unable to agree to an afternoon delivery, so I could not accept that date. We agreed for the items to be delivered on the 2nd December. I called and left a message for Nick to advise him of the situation. I chased this message later in the day as I had no response. When I spoke to Nick, he advised he had spoken to CDS and confirmed delivery for the 2nd. He also noted other customers had experienced similar issues.
On the 1st December I received a text at 17:45 advising CDS could again not deliver and that my items would be delivered on the 3rd December. I tried to call CDS, but the text was sent 15 minutes after they closed…Again I had made arrangements to be able to accept the delivery and it was too late to change my plans, therefore another day was wasted!
I already had plans for the 3rd December, but decided to change these, for a fourth time in order to receive the delivery!
Following three arrangements with my work to be available for delivery and sacrificing my own plans on a Saturday to accept the delivery I requested compensation from Appliance City. Following multiple chasers to Nick a terrible email from CDS and constantly being fobbed off, with "I will get back to you next week" I am left with no choice but to leave a poor review.
Probably the worst customer service I have ever experienced. Even when I escalated to the customer service team, I received no response.
