Had a lovely 3 day stay at Alston Hotel, Dumfries. Beautiful grounds with lovely walks, Reception was very friendly and helpful. Rooms were first class, very clean and tidy. Food in the restaurant was very good, our only complaint would be that the service in restaurant was a bit slow but as we were on holiday this did not spoil it for us.
