Our stay merited praise. The hotel is clean and comfortable. The staff very helpful and the food of a very high standard. Some works were being undertaken, we think to install a mini-gym area - however disruption was minimal, the hotel staff and contractors all absorbed these improvements to cause little problem to the regular guests. Our trip was for pleasure and the hotel seemed designed more for the business traveller; however these places in turn then often seem cold and soulless, this was certainly not the case here.
