I bought a Yoder YS640 pellet grill back in 2017 and loved it! I quickly upgraded the diffuser plate for the one with the door (did not come standard at that time) and bought the grill grates. After having it for sometime I noticed rust accumulating on the top shelf as well as the bottom grates. I noted this was because the initial grates were made of chrome and not stainless steel (a little bit of a let down given the price of this smoker and it advertised as lasting a lifetime). The grill grates also warped due to the exposed heat over several years. I recently upgraded everything to stainless steel and bought new grill grates because of this. I also changed out the diffuser plate (due to rust) which was not a cheap upgrade. I noted that the hatch on the new diffuser plate did not come with a handle like the original. This will make it very difficult when smoking and then reverse searing something, which I do often. Overall I love the smoker and it cooks well; however, for the price I would expect these upgrades to be standard. I also do not know why they removed the handle from the diffuse hatch. Most mainstream smokers on the market as well as all grill that are $300 and up come standard with stainless steel grates.
