My husband had a pair of backdoor shoes for several years, until they were worn out. The original shoes fit him perfectly (he has wide feet). Replacing them hasn't been straightforward as the original design has been tweeked and the shoes are now too tight. He followed the advice and bought a size too big and the left shoe fits fine. Again, he is following the advice and gradually trying warmth to mould the right shoe to his foot, as it is still too tight. It is improving, but will never be as good as the original design. It's a great shame to change something that was good.
