Unlike some makes, the Backdoorshoes are robust and with good treads. The soles give support and even protect against all but the longest hawthorns; I now have two pairs for myself and partner (at both the backdoor and the garage door) and have just bought pairs for sister and brother-in-law, which speaks for itself.
