I usually buy standard mens size 9. This time attracted by the lack of colour (black) I bought my first pair of chunky soled shoes. I was a bit discomforted at first because they were obviously a little smaller than my well worn old pair and not only that the heal was unstable and tended to wobble a bit like walking on studs. I got used to the heels and after persevering with a bit of discomfort I guess I stretched them to my shape. They are fine now. I wore them to a hospital appointment yesterday and didn't feel out of place. !
