I love my backdoor shoes but have the problem that the soles wear smooth very quickly and then slip easily on a wet surface, whether it is on wet paving slabs in the garden or on a slightly wet kitchen floor. This is potentially dangerous. I enquired some time ago about the chunky sole on ladies’ sizes but they have not yet materialized.
