All our family have been using Backdoorshoes for many years - my original pair were in the long forgotten 'garlic' pattern, and have only just been condemned. They are absolutely ideal for slipping out to the garden or garage, but are also strong and stable enough to be used for all sorts of outside activities including mowing etc., and all around the campsite when we are away.
