I took the tour as if it were a vacation, and if something special happened then all the better. That's the way I looked at it. If you do meet someone on the first tour and you have that connection then you don't really need to meet anybody else. But if you're not sure and you'd like to hit another tour then absolutely. There's so much that has to happen after the meeting and the date. I highly recommend a Colombia tour. I even tried to go on the Medellin tour from Barranquilla to go down there and it filled so fast, I missed out and I'm not talking in a week or two, it filled fast.
