I had complex foot surgery that required me to be non weight bearing on my left foot for 11 weeks. Without my peg leg I would have gone crazy. Peg leg was brilliant, really easy to use, and it meant I could use my hands and do lots of normal stuff. I'm also convinced that using a peg leg accelerated my recovery and rehab as i was still loading my upper leg when moving around. A brilliant invention, I would highly recommend it.
