I'll admit, I have had a few issues regarding delivery days/times & such however I wouldn't actually go as far as to say their customer service was "appalling", for starters the people on the phone aren't the drivers & don't really have any power over how the items arrive plus, they're stuck in an office all day being screamed at for issues that aren't their fault. Of course, I've worked in CS for a number of years & even though my overall experience wasn't the best, I know it will be rectified eventually & the people on the phone have enough to deal with without another irrate customer telling them everything is their fault, they can only do so much.
