The boots are very strong and sturdy but maybe a little heavy as a result. We had to buy the extra large but Bear has one foot smaller than the other but needs to wear both boots otherwise limps worse than ever and the boot on the smaller foot will not stay on. Doesn't help that he sits down as I try to put them on! We will persevere as they are the best and biggest boots we have found and the only ones with a really good sole.
