The electrician was very good and identified that the charging unit could not be connected to the RCD box, but had to install a new / additional RCD box by the meter.
However, in doing so he had to break the seal on the main fuse into the house, but had no way of resealing it. It has since been very difficult to get the meter fuse resealed. It would be helpful if an electrician from BP Chargemaster could help.
