These two modules are used exclusively on the ChefsChoice COMMERCIAL rated knife sharpener.
Each module has a specific degree of sharpening. Either 15 or 20 degrees. Very wide ranges depending on the type of knife that you own.
As to how long they will last will depend solely on how often it is used and to what degree.
My original modules are about one year old. Still a lot of life left in them. I bought spares for when the replacement time comes.
