this really does keep the feed dry even in the worst rain. the hens aren't scared of the hat which they were when i tried to improvise a rainproof feeder of my own. only reason for not giving this 5 stars is that the feet have a tendency to come loose and fall off which has been a nuisance in the dark mornings.
